The battle against Phantylia had had a lot of impact on things Jing Yuan had not considered. His miraculous survival post sustaining massive injuries in combat in itself was probably something he hadn't expected, much less the reason and cause of how his wounds closed up overnight. Things go rampant in his head when his decision to leave behind his son to rush into the Ambrosial Arbor is looked down upon by not just himself but also his former husband and Yanqing's other parent.
It's almost as though Luocha's arrival at the Luofu was timed to disaster. Upon being called to tend to an ailing Yanqing, both he and Jing Yuan go through a lot of suppressed feelings and emotions that would decide the fate of their family.
