Work Text:
Tony and Natasha ran into each other in front of Clint's apartment.
"I thought I'd take Pippa to school for Clint," Natasha said.
"I was thinking the same thing," Tony said.
"Jarvis, can you open the door for us?" Natasha asked.
"Of course," Jarvis said as the door opened and Pat Benatar played loudly through the apartment.
Pippa was sitting on a bar stool at the kitchen island still in her Iron Man pajamas, eating the pancakes that her Daddy had made for her and her Poppy for breakfast.
As "We Belong" began to play, Clint and Phil stared into each others' eyes. Phil leaned his cane against the kitchen counter and found himself being taken into his husband's arms as they slow danced. Even Hawkeye hadn't seemed to notice that they had an audience. with the exception of their daughter who was clapping her hands excitedly.
Natasha took Tony's arm and nudged him back out into the hallway.
"Were they always like that?" Tony asked.
"They were worse," Natasha said.
"Why did you guys leave?" Clint asked, joining Natasha and Tony in the hall. "I made pancakes."
"You and Phil were--involved," Tony said.
Clint laughed and said, "I don't know how involved we could be with the munchkin watching."
"I thought you might want to be alone with Phil and Pippa," Natasha said. "You're obviously not sending her to school today."
"I'm keeping her home until Monday," Clint said. "How much can you miss when you're her age?"
"Why are you out here?" Pippa asked, squeezing past her Daddy and looking-up at her Uncle Tony and Auntie Nat.
Tony scooped Pippa up in his arms and kissed her on the nose. "We thought you might want to spend some time with your Poppy and your Daddy without me and you Aunt Natl loitering."
'What's loitering?" Pippa asked.
"Hanging around," Tony said.
'You should hang around, Uncle Tony," Pippa said. "Daddy put chocolate chips in the pancakes."
"Of course he did," Tony said. "He loves his mini-me. Lead on mini-Legolas."
"How do I lead on if you're carrying me, Uncle Tony?" Pippa asked.
"Just point," Tony said.
Pippa pointed toward the open apartment door as her Daddy and Auntie Nat followed behind and locked-up behind them.
