Work Text:
A beautiful mess, that's what Sasuke was.
He had lost count of how many drinks he had. Or for how long he's been here. All he knew was that he needed to drink the pain away.
He's broken up with his ex boyfriend two months ago, but he's still not back on track. How could he be after devoting everything to him?
Sasuke wanted to die the second, his brother held him back though. Which he is truly grateful for since at least now he knows that it wasn't his fault.
He didn't deserve this.
His dark blue tshirt was a size too big on him, still clinging onto his skin as he was completely drenched in sweat. In normal situations, he would've minded it but at this point, he really couldn't be bothered with anything.
He could feel the strangers trying to touch him, he didn't even mind it. He was far too drunk to think straight. On the other hand, he did enjoy all those touches on his body, hands roaming freely. He felt one particular one, different from the rest as it tugged him, making him follow trail.
He tried to clear his brain enough to know what was happening. He realised the person who grabbed him was some pink haired female who pulled him away from the dance floor and to the booths.
One particular booth. He was forced into the couch, which as soon as he made contact with, he decided to just crash.
"I'll bring some water for him, he's completely drunk." A female's voice said. The use of pronouns told him that she was talking to someone else and not him but he nodded anyway.
"Are you alright?" It was a male this time. But that wasn't what made him look up, it was the familiar voice. Completely different tone but he's heard the voice somewhere, he just couldn't pinpoint it.
"W-what.." Sasuke trailed off, not knowing what to say.
"Don't worry, I'm not trying to harm you in any way. My friend just spotted you and thought you needed some help." The male said, running a hand in his hair. He accepted the touch, leaning into it and humming along.
"There you go." The female voice came back, probably having some water on her. Sasuke groaned as he was forced to sit up and drink the water but appreciated once it cleared his vision enough.
As soon as he opened his eyes, he was met by another pair with warmth in them. She had pretty pink hair and a gentle smile.
"Thank you, Sakura." The guy said. Sasuke was left speechless once he turned to take a look at the guy.
"I'll be with the rest if you need anything, although I doubt you will." Sakura said to her friend, suggesting something which sasuke was still too drunk to understand.
"Are you alright?" The gentle voice asked him, supporting his weight as he tried to sit a bit more appropriately.
"What are you doing here?" Sasuke asked.
"What do you mean?" The guy asked, his voice made it clear that he was extremely confused.
"God Tenma, when will you stop haunting my dreams?" Sasuke groaned, making the guy even more confused.
"I'm sorry but I think you're mistaking-"
Before he could say anything further, he was met with the softest lips ever. Although still drunk and off balance, Sasuke forced himself to balance his weight as he pushed his lips against the guy, pulling him closer.
When he noticed the lack of passion, he decided to take things into his own hands and got up to straddle the guy.
This time, he was quite satisfied as he did get a reaction from him. A low moan, but it was enough for now. Sasuke was glad that he still wanted him.
He felt the guy's hands around his waist, pulling him down on his lap as they heavily made out. Not minding one bit, Sasuke let the guy lead, having forced his tongue in his mouth and earning a loud moan from sasuke in return.
"As much as I'd love to wreck you completely, down to the situation where you won't be able to walk, I think we should stop." The guy said, still nibbling on Sasuke's neck.
"Tenma you can't just come in my dreams each night and don't even give me the satisfaction of having you close for more than a couple of seconds." Sasuke whined, pulling him closer.
"And this is the reason why we should stop, I'm not whom you think I am." The guy said, finally confusing Sasuke enough that he had to pull back to take a look at his face.
The same face he's seen a thousand times before.
The one who made him cry from laughing too hard to the one who made him cry after he left.
"What-what are you saying?" Sasuke asked, feeling tears in his eyes.
"Let's get you home alright?" The guy said, pushing Sasuke off of his lap so he could get up. Once he did, he took off his jacket and drapped it around Sasuke's body since he didn't want the poor boy to be touched by some random stranger again.
He took Sasuke's hand in his, pulling him up and walking him out of the bar. There was a phone in his hand which he was using to text someone.
"I told my friends that I'm leaving but I honestly don't know where to go." The guy said. "Would you mind telling me where you live?"
Sasuke shook his head.
"So where do you live?" The guy asked once he realised Sasuke wasn't going to say anything.
"I live... in my house." Sasuke replied, clearly too drunk to think straight.
"Alright I set the bar too low, where is your house?" The guy asked again.
"Near my neighbours house?" Sasuke said but it came out sounding more of a question than answer.
"And where your neighbours house is?" The guy asked, amusement visible in his voice.
"Near my house...?"
"Okay this is enough, I'll take you back to my house." The guy said, opening the passenger seat to let Sasuke get in before he got in the driver's seat himself.
They didn't talk at all as Sasuke felt his eyes shutting close, sleep finally taking over.
After they reached back, the dude had two options, once he could carry the poor boy inside or two, he could wake him up. He decided upon the formal since he didn't look like he's gonna wake up anytime soon.
Oh how wrong he was.
As soon as they were in the house, he felt Sasuke's lips being pressed against his neck, almost dropping the poor boy in the process.
He managed to get him to his room, laying the boy down who immediately pulled him closer again, smashing his lips against him.
"Alright calm down, you need to sleep." The guy said, forcing him to lay down.
"No, I don't need sleep, I need you." Sasuke argued, being proud as he was successful in having the guy kiss him back.
On the other hand, the blonde was trying extremely hard not to lose control over himself. He knew that Sasuke was drunk and didn't know what he was saying but that did not help the fact that Sasuke did admit that he wanted him, neither did it help the obvious boner which was growing in his pants now.
The sloppy kiss turned into a heavy make out session. Sasuke was currently sitting on his crotch, grinding down hard while kissing him. Both were panting hard as they wanted so much more.
Sasuke was flipped over and now pressed against the mattress, he kicked his own pants off of him, before taking off his tshirt as he felt the dude sucking on his neck, leaving a trail of hickeys.
All of a sudden, he stopped when he felt Sasuke passing out below him, groaning loudly.
"Fuck." He said out aloud, looking down at his very obvious boner. He couldn't help but feel a little guilty of the fact that he almost took advantage of the raven while he was drunk and under the impression that he was some other guy.
"God my head hurts so bad." Sasuke groaned, getting up from the bed. As soon as he fully opened his eyes, he was alarmed realising that it wasn't his room but someone else's.
He looked around, trying to spot his clothes when he realised he wasn't wearing anything but his underwear. Gladly he spotted his clothes folded over the dressing table. He soon got into them and made his way downstairs only to be meet by no othet than..
Tenma Uzumaki.
"Good morning, glad to see you up." The guy said, motioning him to get in the kitchen. As soon as Sasuke stepped in, he noticed a painkiller on the table along with a glass full of water.
"Was going to leave it on the bed side table but then I thought I should finish the breakfast first and uhhh ha ha." He said, rubbing the back of his neck.
Why is he acting like that?
Sasuke thought, gulping down the painkiller. He was being very cautious due to the change of behaviour of Tenma.
"You must have some questions for me." Tenma said, motioning him to sit down.
"You're not Tenma." Sasuke questioned, although it came out more as a statement.
"That's right, I'm not." The guy said.
"Please don't tell me you're a Uzumaki." Sasuke groaned, his head falling in his hands.
"Uh, alright I'm not then." The guy said, chuckling a little as he went back to making pancakes.
"Who are you? No, that's not the question I want to know. How are you related to Uzumaki Tenma? His cousin or something?" Sasuke asked. They looked a little too similar for being cousins, unless...
"Close. I'm his twin brother, my name is Uzumaki Naruto." The guy, Naruto, introduced himself.
Not tenma, not tenma, he's Naruto. His twin.
Naruto noticed the shocked expression which Sasuke was currently sporting, making him sigh.
"I'll take it as he never told you about me." He said, turning his head to observe Sasuke's reaction to that. Unfortunately, the boy looked a little too heartbroken.
"He was just... secretive? I suppose. He refused to say anything about his family, said they were uh, strict." Sasuke rambled, fiddling with the hem of his tshirt.
"Strict? That's a new. I'm not the one to brag, actually fuck it, even if it sounds like I'm bragging, who cares? Both our parents are the chillest people on earth. Well, my mom sort of have a temper at times but that's it. She's really loving when you get to know her really." Naruto ranted, a small fond smile present on his face.
"She sounds sweet." Sasuke said, also smiling along with Naruto.
"Well, I really don't wanna embarrass you or make you feel uncomfortable or anything else but uhh... " Naruto trailed off, not knowing how to frame it. Thankfully, Sasuke understood perfectly though.
"We were, um... he was my boyfriend." Sasuke said, a little awkward.
"Was?" Naruto wondered, flipping the pancake.
"We had some issues so we decided to finally end it all for one last time a few months ago." Sasuke explained.
"If you don't mind me asking, how long were you two dating?" Naruto asked, his attention back on Sasuke now.
"About 2 years. It would have been 3 in four months." Sasuke said, his voice low as he tried to keep his emotions under control.
He remembered making plans on how he was going to surprise Tenma. He already has planned to take days off from his work, found a really nice restaurant and even decided what he was gonna order.
Now it didn't matter, all because he couldn't keep his relationship.
. Sasuke reminded himself, over and over again, but still felt guilty at times.
"He's never told me about you, or even the fact that he liked guys." Naruto sighed, coming to sit next to Sasuke when he realised the raven could need some comfort.
"They're homophobic, he used to say it every time I asked why he would not let me meet his family. Said his parents were strict and even tried setting him up with some girls when I asked whom the girls were which he was spending time with." Sasuke said, almost beginning to tear up.
"Well, I'll have to say that he's the biggest liar ever if he's ever said that to you. Mom and dad could never, they're so supportive of everything we do. I don't think they mind, although I'll have to say that our mom would totally want to set him up with some dude if he told her that he liked guys, but girls? None of our parents do that shit. They never tried to set him up with anyone, he wasn't the type anyways." Naruto explained the situation.
Sasuke felt each word Naruto spoke like daggers in his heart. All the time he's known Tenma, it was always 'Im sorry but my parents wouldn't be accepting', 'im sorry but I'm sensitive to the topic of my family', 'im sorry my dad set me up with some girl, I really didn't mean anything though.'
it was always those excuses.
Sasuke started turning his eye whenever he saw something suspicious, all because he didn't want to face the reality. He didn't want to accept the fact that after all, Tenma and him weren't meant to be together.
Naruto must have sensed Sasuke being on the edge as he rested a comforting hand on his thigh, trying to be of any help.
"Are you two close?" Sasuke asked.
"Depends on whom I am talking to." Naruto joked, trying to clear the dense air around them. It seemed to work as Sasuke flashed him a smile.
"Not really. We were close but then..." Naruto trailed off.
"C'mon, tell me. I told you so much about us, and answered all your questions truthfully." Sasuke reasoned, placing his own hand on top of his as it was still resting on his thigh.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. We used to be really close, until I came out. Our parents, they were extremely supportive, both of them supported me and even bought me cute little pride flag batches." Naruto said, smiling at the memory.
"That sounds nice." Sasuke said, he couldn't say why but he felt very happy that Naruto's parents accepted him for himself.
"Yeah. Anyways, for the time being, Tenma was very supportive as well. Until one day, we went out to get dinner where a gay couple were also present. Some strangers went up to them and started bullying them.
"Both mom and dad were talking to some friend whom they bumped into so Tenma and I were alone. I moved on, but Tenma is still hung onto the fear that it could have happened to anyone. Maybe that's why he didn't want to tell anyone?"
Naruto suggested.
"It makes sense but at the same time, I feel that he could have at least told his parents about us, or even you. He didn't even have to tell anyone but just.." he sighed." I wished he didn't hide me as if he was embarrassed to have me."
Naruto sighed as well, he didn't know much about Sasuke but one thing he knew was sure that he's never met anyone like that. Not to mention, he was such a rare beauty.
Naruto pulled him closer, letting his hands grab his waist and hugged him as tight as possible. Sasuke didn't fight it either, welcoming it with just as warmth. They stayed in that position for a good minute or two, Naruto let Sasuke put his face in his neck, rubbing his back as they enjoyed each other's presence.
"I just realised something." Naruto whispered.
"What?" Sasuke whispered back, realising he didn't have to but he did it anyways.
"I uh, I still kinda don't know your name." Naruto awkwardly mumbled. Making Sasuke laugh out loud. Naruto couldn't help but laugh as well, finding it ironic that not only was it his brother's ex boyfriend who was in his arms right now but also someone whose name he didn't even know.
"I mean, I wouldn't mind it honestly. I could just call you mine for all I care about." Naruto joked, knowing he was playing with fire as the guy was no one other than his brother's ex.
"Uchiha Sasuke." Sasuke said, still laughing s little and a blush was definitely present on his face.
"That's enough of a chit chat about my brother, how about we have some breakfast now?" Naruto asked, getting up from his seat as he made his way back to the counter, finally putting the pancakes in the plates, serving them on the table before he returned for maple syrup.
"Hope you like sweet." Naruto said, serving him his. He put some fruits over it, asking Sasuke if he liked it beforehand. Pouring some maple syrup and now he was good to go.
"It's really delicious." Sasuke said, chewing.
"I hope it is, it's the only thing that I can cook honestly." Naruto admitted, chuckling.
"Really?" Sasuke asked, still paying more attention to the pancake than the cook of the dish.
"Yeah, I'm not like Tenma especially when it comes to cooking. He's amazing while I can only make enough things to survive." Naruto said.
"Tenma can cook?"
"Oh." Naruto said. Widening his eyes. "Man he was such an asshole."
That made Sasuke choke on a strawberry, hearing Naruto say that all of a sudden. As he stopped coughing, he once again burst out laughing.
"That's your brother, you idiot." Sasuke said.
"Exactly my point. If I were him, at every date or even in general I would prepare as many dishes as I said just to impress you. It's a really big flex. Imagine what kind of guy he must have been if he didn't even tell you he can cook." Naruto said, thinking he was being very wise but instead he was just sounding dramatic.
"Maybe he just wanted a house wife."Sasuke shrugged, remembering how often he had to cook for them.
"At least he found a pretty house wife, sucks to be him since he couldn't keep the beauty." Naruto said, winking at Sasuke.
Sasuke tried not to react too much, he knew his face was red but he still managed to pretend that he wasn't blushing. Instead, he decided to shove the guy, making him almost fall down his chair.
"What a nice way to thank the guy for the compliment, also for saving you last night." Niall rolled his eyes.
"Naruto."Sasuke said, when he had eyes on him he began speaking again. "You're right, i-um... thank you. And um, I appreciate you and the things that you've done for me since last night." Sasuke said, a little too nervous for no reason.
Maybe it was the fact that the said guy shared the same face with someone he used to love dearly or maybe it was because he was completely different than his ex. So much better.
"Hold up, lemme record that holy fuck. Say that again, with the blush and everything and goddamn that-" One more shove and they both burst out laughing.
Sasuke enjoyed being about Naruto, even though they just met. Their conversation surely started a little awkward and sad but he truly has never felt so free with someone.
With Tenma he constantly had to rethink what he was going to say just in case it annoyed him. Having Tenma in a bad mood was something he dreaded. So he never really felt that free.
"So Uzumaki Naruto, tell me about yourself. What do you do when you're not having your brother's ex boyfriend waking up in your bed?"
