Martin Blackwood has been a part-time circulation assistant at the Magnus South Library in London for only a few months when the holiday season begins. He's never had the Christmas he dreams of having and is still struggling to make a connection with Jon Sims, his circulation supervisor and the object of his first real crush, when his fate crosses with Jurgen Leitner, an energy vampire eager to curse him and feed off his loneliness.
