A fix-it European 'road trip' fic, featuring Sappho poetry and Homer quotes, a lot of ridiculous historical and art knowledge, and the lovely cities of Athens, Rome, Florence, and Paris.

closed my eyes for around ten seconds after reading the last line, goodness. im currently very sick and very puny, but i read this so fast, even with my pounding headache. im not exaggerating when i say that this is absolutely Beautiful, with so much detail and gorgeously writing put into this. the characterization of mark and eduardo still loving him, even after he screwed him over is so very on point. i love the idea of mark being an absolute geek about culture and being able to speak greek and yap for hours about paintings and architecture and the world, ugh!!!! i also love the idea of them traveling around the world and falling back in love with each other over such a small timespan, that's literally them to a T. other things that really got me was eduardo having trust issues and worrying about taking that step with mark due to needing trust in a relationship, mark knowing he messed up and trying to get eduardo to be with him again, and especially them fucking outside of a nightclub with eduardo wearing the same shirt from The Scene <3 this fic realllyyy holds my heart between it's palms!!! it's probably my current favorite markwardo fic and definitely needs more recognition for how great it truly is, god 😭😭

“You’re asking me to try to be with you,” Eduardo points out. “A relationship needs trust, and I don’t know if I can trust you.”
He can tell he’s hurt Mark, but he doesn’t flinch away, holds Mark’s blue eyes with his own until Mark nods.
“Try,” Mark says, flat, like he’s not begging. “Let me earn it.”
And that’s – that’s what makes Eduardo, decide, ultimately.
