Three dials are attached to its centre.] A mysterious object humans keep on their bedside tables and desks. Despite appearing similar to school bells, these strange objects do not appear to be sentient. Nor do they scream to signify the passage of time (not even when prompted by tickling!). They do, however, periodically unleash a ringing sound which is, as the name suggests, rather alarming. The function of the flat disc face unknown. The dials in its centre rotate at varying speeds, creating a hypnotising effect when staring directly into the disc. As such, I propose its purpose is some sort of brainwashing device, however further experiments are needed before we can say for sure… Remember, DMs are always open for those wishing to further our understanding of humanity by subjecting themselves to human experimentation! Careful observation has determined that the alarm-clook makes its alarming ringing noise whenever the dials reach certain points on the disc – perhaps the purpose of the ringing is to startle the subject out of their hypnotised state.
