As much as I love all the neurodevelopmental disability rep in TOH fanfics about the kids, I rarely see the Hexsquad written with chronic illness represented, and I think Amity is a fantastic candidate for a character with physical disabilities.
OR
an enemies-to-friends-to-girlfriends alternate universe where Amity consistently misses school because of her disability, and Luz offers to take Boscha's place of bringing Amity her homework.

Summary
Luz Noceda is on her sixth (and nicest) foster family, the Darlings. She has everything she needs, but still, she longs for the pirate adventures she reads about in The Good Pirate Azura. On the night of her fourteenth birthday, she makes a wish to be a pirate like her hero.
On that same night, Eda Clawthorne is passing through Connecticut, picking up her favorite snack before returning to Neverland.
With one fateful glance, Eda notices the girl and whisks her away to a land of her dreams.
But Neverland holds its own dark side; the real pirates are cruel and power hungry, determined to mine the land for its natural magic and control it.
Eda brings Luz back to the haven of The Lost Children, where she teaches them to connect with the island and learn magic.
On the other side of the island, Captain Belos recruits lost children to be his pirates, creating a denomination of magic that he controls, separating magic to take it for himself.

After a gruesome fight between infected She-Ra and Catra in the Northern Reach, Catra finds herself isolated in a bunker with a drunk Adora, trying to wait out a raging blizzard. As Catra treats her wounds and lets down some of her walls, and as Adora sobers up, they talk. Emotions rage through the tiny bunker. causing Catra to light up with desire, and after a few moves, she finds it reciprocated by Adora.

Catra deals with drunk Adora, Adora sobers up after a night and cares for Catra's wounds, and then they fuck.

The first time Catra sees Adora, it’s a glance of gold in the corner of her eye that brings her mind to the middle of summer and the fields of barley a few miles out the backdoor of her family’s estate. It’s the scent of lilacs that follows their skin like ribbons of silk; Catra feels her own heart thump within her ribcage at the memories of the bunches that hang from the kitchen’s window cill. It’s every way their voice is soft as they take a little breath, as though they’re stunned. Perhaps understandably. Before Adora offers a bemused, “Hi.”
Catra was certain that whatever tapestries they made of this moment in generations to come, it’s the way her eyes drifted to meet Adora’s that would be the very first touch of thread onto that blank canvas.
And it’s tragic. Because, looking as handsome as sin in their white and gold naval accoutre, Adora’s standing before her, and Catra doesn’t even know.
