Chapter Text

Kris and Susie are running through the school halls after hours, giggling and snorting to themselves as they drag a multi-pound bag of glitter behind them

The sun is setting and they can hear the chirps of the evening birds as they make their way amongst the lockers. Shoes clacking against the school floor are disrupted by the squeak of rubber against the ground as they come to a halt.

Now they stand in front of their main objection, a green locker, just like any other in the building. The only thing that makes it stick out is the nerdy game stickers placed with precision and care on the unblemished surface. Ha, not for long.

"Come on hurry up Kris! There's a cake in Castletown with our names on it and we're NOT getting there after Lancer licks off all the frosting again!"

Kris gives her a sly grin and a thumbs up as they reach into their bag and pull out a funnel, wedging it in-between the locker's vent. Susie picks up the first bag of glitter with a grunt and begins pouring it through the funnel into the locker. Listening as the glitter pitter patters against the interior like music to the mischievous teens ears.

Soon enough the bag dwindles down in size until only its empty husk remains. Crumpling the empty bag up, they walk and talk as they make their way to the cafeteria to toss it in recycling.

"Well Kris, how does it feel to have me help you with your pranks for the first time?" Susie says with a smug grin and wiggle of her eyebrows.

Kris lifts their gaze to meet hers and says nothing for a few seconds. It's enough to give Susie time to second guess herself as she begins to stutter out an excuse to displace some of the embarrassment. Before she can really get anything out, she's interrupted by Kris when they finally open their mouth.

"It's nice. Not everyone is too keen on helping me act out these pranks. I didn't really think I needed a partner in crime, but look at us now. So yeah, it's nice to have you here." They finish their sentence with a small smile as they open the doors to the cafeteria.

Susie feels herself getting flustered as she starts sputtering, "Yeah of course dude! Plus, where would you have been if it weren't for me carrying those heavy ass bags for your noodle arms!" sharp teeth on display in a playful manner.

"Yeah, it is nice to have someone else carry all this heavy shit for me" they say with a snarky voice and an evil grin before shoving the rest of the trash in Susie's hands and darting off.

"Hey, you fucking bastard get back here!", Susie shouts as she haphazardly tosses the bag into a bin before running after them. The two of them zig-zag through the hallways, lost in the chase, until Kris made a dash for the janitors closet. Susie was able to grab them by their shirt collar just before they were able to jump through.

"Gotcha, ya little cretin!" Susie says as she snaps her teeth at them. Kris said nothing as they stuck their tongue out at her...and then proceeded to kick her kneecaps causing Susie to tumble through the open closet door.

"GODDAMNIT KRIS!!" she yelled as they both fell into the dark world.

"You know, we're pretty lucky that we have Ralsei" Kris mumbles as they two of them continue their walk back to the school in the early morning.

When they had accidentally fallen into Castletown yesterday, Susie had unintentionally scratched up Kris as they sloppily landed. Ralsei nearly had a mini heart attack when he came running in to greet them after a long day. Luckily for them, he's an expert healer and the injuries were quickly attended to as Kris flexed their arms in resilience.

Susie had been quiet and somber for a minute before Kris assured her it was alright as Lancer came bouncing in with excitement for cake and tea with his best buddies. The mood quickly shifted to one of laughter and light hearted humor.

Now they were back in the light world for another day of class, but today was sure to be a much more exciting day at school.

"You and him stayed up last night playing Minecrap right? " Susie asked as she glared at Snowy and MT as they walked by.

"Yep, he'll probably be a bit late to school today, so we'll get to see all the action", they smiled evilly at the statement. It was literally just a minute after that sentence that the familiar bluebird entered their line of sight.

"Ah, Kris and Susan, looks like I have the misfortune of coming across you two so late in the morning. (Class doesn't even start until like twenty minutes, Susie stood unimpressed). "Kris kept me occupied late last night on our grandest adventure on Minecrap to date! We're sure to be on the path towards defeating the Dragon of the End any day now!" He says with a smugly proud grin on his face.

"He kept falling in lava searching for diamonds" Kris whispers in Susie's ear as she lets out a snicker.

"Anyways, I must be getting to my class now! Unlike you simpletons, I put great value and respect on punctuality! I will see you two later as I ace todays reading assignment!". With that he leaves with his head held high.

Kris and Susie follow him from a distance, snickering quietly to each other along the way.

The anticipation came to its climax when Berdly finally made his way towards his locker, but he immediately turned to chatter loudly to Noelle who had walked up to him to wish him a good morning.

"Come on you stupid chicken nugget, open your fucking locker already," Susie growls under her breath. After enough bragging Berdly turns to open his locker in order to grab his books as he continues to speak with Noelle.

Time seems to slow down for the two pranksters as an avalanche of multicolor glitter rains down upon Berdly in an act of glorious revenge

The hallways grow quiet in shock as they witness the nerd become a living scrapbook. A second of silence soon turns into the few students in the hallway bursting into a light laughter. Catti snaps a quick photo with her phone, a tiny smile quirking up as she continues walking to class. Noelle stares for a minute before putting a hand over her mouth to stifle the laughter, half bent over herself and tears forming in the corners of her eyes.

"KRISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!" Berdly squawks out as he shakes the glitter out of his glasses.

"Why do you always assume it's me?" Kris says in a monotone voice as they walk calmly into their class, carefully avoiding the mountain of glitter on the ground. Susie gives Berdly a shit-eating grin as she walks past him, hands in her pocket.

They hear him shriek in indignation as they make their way to their desks, the two exchanging a fist bump as they sit down.

"Another hard day of work, aye Kris?" Susie says as she props her feet on the desk and puts her hands behind her head. Kris nods and begins taking their notebook out of their bag. "Can't wait to tell Lancer all about this, he'll be laughing so hard he can't breathe!"

Their teacher, Ms. Alphys comes in with a quiet 'Oh dear' as she sets her bag down besides her desk. Noelle walks in behind her, smiling giddily as she looks at Kris and Susie.

Just a few minutes before the bell is set to go off, Berdly walks in, head still set high, but unwilling to make eye contact any of his fellow classmates.

"U-um Berdly, uh, are you ok over there?" Alphys asks as he sets his glitter covered books down on his desk.

"Oh wise Ms. Alphys, I am perfectly fine as is! This is merely a personal experiment of mine to see how long glitter can last in one's clothing! I shall do a washing machine test when I get home!"

"There's gonna be glitter stuck in his feathers for years" Kris whispers to Susie as she quietly snorts.

The overhead speakers crackle to life with the principle calling for a janitor in the west hallway, and leaving a warning to the students against leaving trash on the ground in the cafeteria

"You missed the can" Kris says nonchalantly as they doodle in their notebook. Susie throws a ball of paper at their head.

Notes:

This fic is pretty much going to be little one shot stories centered around The Fun Gang and the other supporting cast from Deltarune in mostly fun situations. The occasional angst mixed in, but mostly just humorous feel good stories. These oneshots all take place within the same universe, one where us the players aren't controlling Kris.

Now, let's see all the shenanigans our favorite characters will get into!

May our God Toby Fox bless us with new content in these next few months :P
