Summary
Brooklyn, 1994
Gulf War Vet, Steve Rogers moves into a rundown apartment block in an undesirable part of bustling Brooklyn. Faced with the collateral of his dishonorable discharge in the face of the Don't Ask, Don't Tell act, Steve finds himself drawn to his enigmatic new neighbor, Bucky Barnes. On the surface, Bucky's life looks the picture of glamour: house music, dancing and silk robes. Under the running mascara lies a darker image, drug addiction, street-walking and a tenuous on-again-off-again abusive relationship with violent bar owner Brock. A story of two native New Yorkers finding love through the wasteland of grief, homophobia and neon lights.
