Summary:
Yusuke has been non-responsive in the group chat for over a month, and no one has actually seen him in about as much time (save for Sojiro). At the request of his currently out-of-town best friend, Ryuji makes a trip to Kosei for a wellness check and finds Yusuke...well, he's certainly in a state.

It's been a long time coming! I can't believe it's been over a year since I finished a fic. Life sure does be happening, huh.
This was beta read by my dear friends glooom and obstinaterixatrix, but I had fun sharing bits and pieces with some other friends of mine to get reactions, so thanks to Stella and a few of my offline friends for letting me share some of the progress with you! Really gave me the motivation I needed to push this one through to the finish line.

Ryuji: Yo dude, what’s bonkin’? Not to sound like a huge sap, but I passed by our old training spot yesterday and thought of ya. So I figured I’d check in! Are you keepin’ up with the exercises I gave you, or are you slackin’ off?
Akira: Woah, rude. I can maintain my physical condition just fine, thank you very much. I’ve got to be prepared, you know? In case we need to reinstate the Phantom Thieves...Or if an opportunity to flex my acrobatic skills on some unsuspecting neighbors arises.
Ryuji: And everyone always accused ME of being the showoff!
Akira: Anyway, things are good. Thanks for saying hey. Morgana says hi too.
Ryuji: …No he didn’t, but thanks for tryin’ to be nice about whatever he DID say. You can give that little brat some belly rubs for me, just ‘cause I’m feelin’ nostalgic. Really rough him up!
Akira: Will do. Speaking of checking up on folks. Has anyone heard from Yusuke recently?
Ryuji: Now that you mention it…not really? I think he’s been pretty busy with some kinda project. I haven’t seen him in a while, and he usually answers my texts at weird hours. We haven’t had a legit conversation in, like, weeks.
Akira: I see. It’s been the same on my end.
Ryuji: Oh wait! I just remembered! Futaba mentioned that she overheard him at Leblanc a couple of times! But he always left before she could get over there. So the Boss has definitely seen him!
Akira: Well that means he’s eating, at least. Hey, first mate.
Ryuji: Yeah?
Akira: Can you do me a huge favor and drop by Yusuke’s dorm when you’ve got the time? Sooner rather than later, if you can. I want to make sure he’s actually alive, and that we aren’t being haunted by his ghost.
Ryuji: Aye aye, captain!
