It’s Jere’s 30th birthday! The first birthday they've celebrated since moving in together and Bojan wants to bake him a cake.

But the best part was Bojan himself. There was flour in his hair, adding to the existing streak of white that Jere loved, and he was wearing an apron (predpasnik, esiliina), dirty with floury finger marks. It was a good look on him.
Perhaps Jere should ask him to wear nothing but the apron. It was his birthday, after all.
Something on the stove started boiling over.
“Shit!” Bojan ran to it, scolding his hand on the steam. He had been trying to melt chocolate in a bowl over the pan.
Jere laughed.
“You promised!”
Jere wrapped his arms around him from behind and soon Bojan was laughing too.
“Are you making breakfast?”
“I’m trying to make your birthday cake,” he pouted. There wasn’t a sticky note for the word for lips in their native languages, but they had played different games instead to help each other learn.
