Atsushi woke up and it felt like he was sleeping next to a furnace, this alarms him and he immediately sits up and looks over to see his boyfriend Akutagawa asleep and looking more sickly than already naturally looks. He's somehow paler, he has a deep flush on his cheeks and his breath is heavy and raspy.
Atsushi places his hand on his lover's cheek and confirms his suspicion that akutagawa has a fever "oh poor akutagawa" atsushi says softly, he hates how often akutagawa gets sick and how miserable he always is. Atsushi gets out of bed careful not to wake Akutagawa and goes to get things to help his sick boyfriend. He goes to their bathroom and finds a thermometer and some medicine. He also finds the box of cold compresses they keep for situations like this.
He makes his way over back to akutagawa and places the things in the nightstand next to akutagawa's side of the bed, "hey ryuu love" atsushi says softly as he gently shakes akutagawa awake. Akutagawa wakes up groggily and starts to cough, it sounds raspy and wet. He definitely has a chest infection "take it easy love" atsushi soothes as he gets akutagawa sitting up so he can breathe better. He's gotten pretty good at taking care of akutagawa and akutagawa always appreciates it even if he doesn't always show it.
"I-i don't feel so good" akutagawa mutters out his voice hoarse and raspy. "I know you don't, you have a fever" atsushi says "can I take your temperature" akutagawa nods and atsushi gently places the thermometer in akutagawa's mouth, when he takes it out atsushi frowns at the high temperature 102.5F (39.2C) "that's not good" he starts worriedly. Akutagawa just lays there, his breath still coming out easily and heavy. "I have some medicine for you" atsushi says as he hands Akutagawa 2 pills and a Glass of water. Akutagawa takes them without hesitation and sighs "thank you love, I don't know what id do without you" akutagawa says as he gives atsushi a weak smile.
Akutagawa grabs the box of cool compresses, sticks one on his forehead and sighs from relief. He jsys fully back down, "can you lay with me move atsushi, I don't want to be alone" akutagawa says, his eyes pleading with atsushi. "Of course I can" atsushi gets back in their bed and lays akutagawa down on his lap and starts to stroke his hair. "I'm sorry you feel like this so often I wish there was more I could do to help" atsushi says, feeling bad about his boyfriend's condition, akutagawa's heart melts at how much atsushi cares for him, "darling I appreciate everything you do for me you do so much" akutagawa kisses atsushi's hand and yawns.
"I appreciate that ryuu, Get some rest I'll be here" atsushi says with a smile as he pulls the blanket up more in akutagawa. Akutagawa's breathing slows down and he falls asleep safe in the arms of his love.
