Chapter Text

Hero of feline and child of the land;

Have faith in your abilities and victory shall be in hand.

Aster felt the wind be knocked out of her when the world shifted back to normal. There was a small drop before the young teen hit the floor with a soft thud. She let out a groan as she pushed herself up and shook herself off. She tried to stand up and almost slipped due to the mud and leaves she was in.

Glancing around, Aster took note that she was in some sort of forest. It didn't seem like a woodland forest; the trees were too tall, the plants seemed different and the whole area had a hint of humidity to it. Looking around, she noticed the others scattered about, all of them splattered with mud in some way.

"Are you guys alright?" she asked. The young feline hero got various groans but overall they seemed alright as they got up.

An idea formed in her mind as Aster looked up.

Leaping into the air, she began to climb the trees to get to the top. Maybe she'd be able to get a good idea of where they were and what was around them. The tree bark felt rough on her hands and feet but she'd dealt with worse. Making it to the top, she gazed around at the world around her. The forest was thick, spanning as far as the eye could see and a large river snaked through the middle of it. It was quite a magnificent sight. It took a few moments but it eventually clicked in Aster's mind where they were. They'd traveled far.

Jumping back down to the ground, the others looked a bit more put together.

"So I think I have a good idea of where we are," Aster stated, causing the others to look over at her.

"And where would that be?" Alex questioned.

"The amazon rainforest."

No-one looked thrilled and there was an audible groan from Robin.

"It's not that bad," Aster protested. "At least it's quiet out here and we shouldn't be bothered that much."

"Yeah but there's still all the mud and stuff," Andy complained, trying to flick off some mud he had on his shoes.

"Let's just focus on the task at hand, finding the next shard," Alex stated, looking over at Robin, "You still have the first one right?"

The young wizard fished the shard out of his pocket, briefly showing it off before pocketing it again.

Aster clapped her hands together. "Right then. Let's get going, we likely have a lot of ground to cover."

There were a few grumbles but the group began making their way through the thickness of the jungle.
