Work Text:
It had been almost a month and a half since the Metatron had come down from heaven, offered both Aziraphale and Crowley a job opportunity in heaven and had been successfully declined.
The kiss was harsh and sudden, with hardly no feeling expect longing and a desperate, sad love. His lips crashed into crowley’s and he felt dizzy from the way that their foreheads touched, the way that Crowley’s hands stayed on his chest, Aziraphale wished that they would wander through his body and entangle and intertwine with his veins so that every beat he could feel would not just be his own but his lovers. God, Aziraphale could feel so much love radiating from the Demon he could hardly keep up himself.
He let go before the angel could react.
And by the time Aziraphale had come round to his senses, he was gone. The stinging, bitter taste of recent words burned holes into his tongue as though they were blessings from the fires of hell and not the drops of sweet liquor of heaven.
Now that Aziraphale really thought about it though, he didn’t feel much better about heaven either.
“Are you ready Aziraphale?”
And there was the Metatron’s, in his grey button down suit, grey pants and a white shirt with a darker version of waistcoat. Aziraphale decided that grey was simply not his colour.
“Crowley!”
Aziraphale ran out onto the street of Soho. Ignoring the angry shouts of drivers and passengers from bypassing cars, angry shouts on the street of people who think that they like to get involved in this sort of thing, but really it was none of their business.
“Crowley!”
The red headed demon turned his gaze towards Aziraphale. His glasses on but dipping, Aziraphale could see the shimmer of gold underneath them. Oh the colour that he loved so much, craved so much to see that it quickly became his wallpaper for his bookshop.
If Crowley had noticed, he kept it to himself.
“I’m sorry, please, please Forgive me” Aziraphale pleaded with the demon, something he never thought to be doing and yet here he was. He hoped that this would become a frequent occurrence as long as it got Crowley to stay with him.
“Why? Why should i forgive you an-Aziraphale?”
There was a stretched silence, one that almost took up their whole street, at least that what it felt like to Aziraphale.
“Because, I love you”
Aziraphale still didn’t like the memory from that day, it was painful and cringy and he could have thought up a million ways in which it could have gone better but it didn’t. He supposed he had to live with that fact now.
“Aaaaangellllll” Crowley hissed affectionately from the other end of the room. He walked into the bookshop community area with a tray of two mugs one steaming hot coffee and the other a calm cup of tea.
Aziraphale thanked the demon as he took his mug of tea into his hands and proceeded to drink it, moaning at the warmth it savoured on the cold November evening.
The trees were almost bare and it was time for Mother Earth to rest in this part of the world. Aziraphale hummed as another person slipped on the ice outside his bookshop and looked down at the demon, sprawled out on the couch with a heavy black jumper with a large duvet draped over him. His mug of coffee steaming with large clouds coming from the mug.
“Did you really have to freeze the water outside of my shop, dear?”
Crowley looked over at him and nodded smugly.
Aziraphale shook his head with amusement. Crowley wont stop causing mischief just because he isn’t in charge of hell on earth anymore.
“Angelll”
“Yes?”
“Can you come here?”
Aziraphale placed his mug on the table and walked over to where Crowley was bundled up against the cold of November, and knelt down beside him.
“Yes my dear?”
“Can we cuddle?” Crowley was looking depressingly sad by this point and had even resulted to poking out his bottom lip and wobbling it a bit to see if the angel will react.
Aziraphale chuckled at Crowley’s antics and quickly replied with a yes, placing his finger on Crowley’s bottom lip and pulling it downwards with a soft ‘blip’ sound. Before standing up, taking off his indoor coat and pulling up the blanket Crowley had wrapped so tightly around himself.
Aziraphale was rewarded with a warning hiss about the cold but was quickly resolved to a rumbling purr as the angel had climbed in next to Crowley on their couch and shared the warmth of the blanket. Azirapahle adding an extra system to where the blanket heated itself.
“Mmmm” Crowley mumbled into Aziraphale’s chest, his snake like arms wrapping around his large frame easily.
“Yes my dear?”
“I love you”
Aziraphale chuckled at the statement and leaned down to kiss Crowley’s forehead.
“I love you too, my dear”
With this, Crowley looked up with a dazed expression, one that could only be described with as love and quickly slobbered Aziraphale in kisses. Starting from his neck he trailed along until Aziraphale’s lips met his own and they shared a long loving kiss. It felt as though a tie had been sealed and a new, stronger foundation was formed.
Aziraphale’s lips stayed on Crowley’s like that before they started moving, kissing his demon over and over again until they were both short of breath. And that’s when Aziraphale realised them. Fangs. Pointing just below his top lip, not enough to see at away, not enough to see up close, but when azirapahle was as close as he was now, he could see many different ways that make his demon special.
“You have fangs?”
“Oh yeah” he bared them like a vampire and Aziraphale could see the small pillars of shiny glistening bones.
“Fascinating”
Crowley closed his mouth and looked down before burying his face into Aziraphale’s chest, whilst the angel just chuckled and carved a hand through the Demons hair.
“Take your time my darling, after all, we have the rest of eternity to learn new things about each other”
The rest of eternity indeed.
