But the girls- all the girls between the ages of 12 and 18 were watching him. If Izuku didn’t do this, one of them would. He looked at Takeyama. With tears in his eyes, Izuku nodded his head.
“I’ll do it. I’ll be the tribute.”
Takeyama grins “That’s the spirit! This is going to be an exciting year for District 12. A round of applause for your tributes. Bakugou Katsuki the volunteer, and Midoriya Izuku the boy who was reaped twice!”
The crowd clapped. Hard. Izuku and Kacchan met each other’s gaze. Kacchan glared at him and shook his head. Izuku kept his head up, his tears dry. He would not be backing down. He’d take this bullet for the girls. Even if the odds should have been zero. This was his fate now.
