2)No one is completely good or evil, except for the Sorcerer, he's all villain. (I'm even confusing myself with the idea. One of the reasons why it's my favorite au)

The Carpfish's eye has a much more powerful sealing effect that both keeps Randy's appearance and his power under control.

The Messager is a Carpfish yokai as well as Theresa's teacher in this AU.
Theresa already learned all the Carpfish magic, such as healing, restrain, sealing and all. She just has trouble using them at the right time, because she usually gets scared and just freezes in place.
Norisu Ninjas are taught with different techniques according to what they show talents for. An ordinary ninja doesn't know every single technique of Norisu. Too many kinds of powers in one person will be unstable. The only one who possesses all the arts are Nomi.
Randy knows ninjas are good at tracking through scents so he hides on the skunk pine. Yet Nomi and First can track him through the Tengu connection, actually.

Randy has some sorts of soul instincts. He is vaguely aware that Master Nomi is terrifying, someone's watching, or they're hiding something. He doesn't know why so he ignores them most of the time.
Theresa can contain Randy's power, duh. Elements thing.
"Not-Randy" can only be seen and heard by Randy. He's giving hints to Randy while annoying him all the time. The last scene is a piece of memory that had been erased.

I should probably mention Mac is 20 while Randy is 14 in this AU. Mac has stayed in Norisu Clan for six years (reference to the canon). He's like a jerk brother to Randy. Also, he got some inspiring talking skills like in the canon (which I have no idea what he said as well).
When Randy recalls something he shouldn't, Nomi's mind-wiping thing will give him a headache as warning. He will black out for a second.
I didn't forget Howard, of course. I mean, how could I? He'll be mad. :P
Some questions are also what I want to ask about the canon, such as: what had happened before First Ninja know there's a way to turn people back? Yep, I'm so curious that I stuff them in the comics.

Okay, there's actually a lame joke hidden. Plop Plop didn't know Howard was a boy before he met him. He only knew the name and "That's a girl's name"...You get it, right?
First is asking how many dead ninjas are there. I figured I may have made the word vague.
The fact of Randy being afraid of chickens gets a new explanation in this au. It's something like repelling the similar kind. Tengu is a bird demon, and chickens are technically birds, so...sorry, my mind is in a weird place.*trying not to laugh*

Ninja balls are Nomi's special in this au. Every technique can be found in the canon, except for the rainbow illusion ball is original (though it did show up in that pile of ninja balls). It can cause illusion in five senses, if you get me. I really love the way I made them. :D
Nomi is not exactly a human anymore, but a tsukumogami.(did I spell it right?) His form is quite unstable, so he's been avoiding showing up and using art of disguise every time he does.
Also, my tumblr is back, again. *Bitter laugh*

I think we all agree Randy's bad at meditating. I'm sure you can imagine how painful that fifteen minutes was. It could go even longer, but I don't want to go that far. ;)

Walking back slowly on ice surface was probably a bad idea. At least it's easier (to draw) than First carrying him in dragon form.

Originally Randy was wearing a Carpfish's Eye on the neck. It makes him colder in winters. If you remember, it's broken in chapter 2.
The barrier thing is based on a headcanon from my Ninjavember 2023(see in Tumblr). There are four mystic sites of Norisu. When each anchor points are charged and activated, they create a mystic barrier that keep Sorcerer's power in the range of Norrisville so that it won't spread to the outside world to create bigger chaos. It's my AU, sure I put it into use. ;)

Gotta admit, I need a longer break. I'm running out of brain juice. As a result, the dialogue may be messy.
How I thought of ritual dance: It just pops out when I was thinking how to put Theresa's twirler into this AU. I'm imagining how cool when Theresa doing the dance already, even though I know nothing about dancing. :D
I'm not the only one in the fandom think Tengu giving out feathers is super creepy and uncomfortable for the Tengu themselves, right?
No, there's definitely no specific meaning in Nomi's change of masks. I simply got bored. :P

Both First and Plop Plop got real names (and they're Japanese names). But be warned, my ability of coming up a name is as lame as designing any cool outfits.

Howard could not hear or see Plop Plop back then. He's inside a temporary barrier.
Feathers are power source for a huge barrier that keeps Sorcerer in the range of Norrisville, in case anyone forgot or I didn't make it clear. (I was thinking about dream catchers, yeah)
The sign of someone had sword trainings can be felt on their hands, right?

Randy's favorite ninja at then was First. It should be obvious.
Not sure if anyone get how I connect the dots. I'm doing more explaining here:
Howard's life after Randy's gone can be divided into 3 periods: First turning point is the unexpected incident. After that, he went digging every day, and recorded the times on the wall.
Second is when he bumped into Randy one time. It's after Mac started taking Randy to sneak out. Of course Mac didn't want to babysit and ran off. Also after Howard and Heidi's mother got turned into a monster and killed by the ninjas.
Third is one night when Randy discovered the secret. He didn't know where to go and ran to Howard, then realized it's a terrible idea. But this is what set Howard's mind to continue helping Randy.

Originally I was thinking all five of them have an epic fight, but that one's even more chaotic...Too much people to think about, ugh!
Some explaining:
Not-Randy's main focus was Nomi, so he didn't think Theresa would be a part of the fight at the beginning.
Nomi didn't use the mind-wiping thing on Randy. It's a hallucination caused by his fear after seeing the pair of red eyes too much.
First used his energy to temporarily seal the root of Randy's wings so that his wings retracted.

Okay. I think I can tell you about Not-Randy now. Originally I want to make him like NomiRandy in the canon, then I've been hyperfixating him too much and became this:
He's the part been separated from his original self, remembering all the pain he experienced. Agony, suppression of the Carpfish magic, forgetfulness caused by Nomi's mind-wiping magic, together they made him more and more twisted and corrupted, drifting away from his other self.
However, he keeps some traits that Randy doesn't want or think they can't make him a better ninja, like his casual attitude, rebellious spirit, the urge to have fun and all. So in this AU, they're both incomplete parts of Randy.

As I kinda give "the last of Norisu" part to Nomi, First here has a different back story. Norisu is not quite righteous in this AU, so this is not a bad thing, I think. :P
Although Debbie learnt Tengu's identity, she's not sure Randy knew it or not because of the amnesia. That's why she tried to hide it at first. Then she picked out the flaw in his words. (An interesting thing about one-side POV is that you never know what the others are thinking haha)

I always believe Nomicon sees the outside world through the eyes of the Creep/Messager besides what the Ninja sees. So...
I put a LOT metaphors in there, geez. It's completely fine if you don't understand 'cause I don't know what I'm doing either.
The author is fully aware how lame the outfit design is, just like how the Sorceress can't see true beauty
Okay, what if, I mean what if, the whole point of stopping the Sorcerer is to make up for the mistake of Norisu's ancestor? We can guess Mcfist probably became a villain because of Mac Antfee. So, what if the Sorcerer, too? How else the pearl of chaos first come to this world? They didn't mean to, sure, but, think about the possibility of so much angst!
Yes, the red stank! In the canon, the only time the Sorcerer used red stank was on the Nomicon. You could say it's some sorts of power-up, but I believe it's specifically made to destroy Nomicon ;) Also potential for angst.
