    Reaching the sofa and peering over the back of it, Hazenoki sees what Takaba was trying to keep him from noticing. The larger man’s grey sweatpants are stained with tears and he’s trying his best to block his face from Hazenoki’s view despite it already being obvious that he’s crying. When Takaba finally gives in and looks up, it becomes clear that he’s been at it for a while. His eyes are red and swollen, there’s half dried snot running down his face and he’s hurriedly trying to wipe it away.

    At a loss for how else to react or what to do Hazenoki asks, “Fumi, what happened?”.
