Work Text:
It was less than an hour into school and Izuku had questions.
'Why was Aizawa doing a job that wasn't his, while ignoring the Entrance Ceremony where they'd learn about all the things that it's his job to facilitate their access to?' being the biggest one.
Next, 'how can he expel us for something he shouldn’t be judging, he isn't a Heroics Teacher?' That couldn't be legal.
He was tired of teachers abusing him with the power they have over him, this time he wasn't going to just take it on the chin and smile.
"I refuse to participate in this farce!" Izuku snapped, "you shouldn't even be doing this. You are a Homeroom Teacher, your job involves all the things that are being talked about in the Entrance Ceremony."
The air grew silent as Eraserhead's eyes flashed red.
"If you don't like the way I teach, maybe you should leave my class, General education still has a seat open." Aizawa said.
"What do you mean?" Momo asked Izuku.
"A Quirk assessment is a Heroics lesson, if it's a lesson at all, not something for the Homeroom. Therefore it isn't his job to perform it. The fact that he can give us a vital task from another class, one that the Heroics Teacher needs to see with their own eyes and unbiased eyes, and then say we don't deserve to be in the Hero Course because we didn't meet the requirements set by a Teacher who isn't in charge of Heroics is laughable!" Izuku roared.
The rest of Class 1-A murmered in agreement.
"Kinda have a point."
'Greenie dropping truth bombs!"
"Now that someone said it out loud, this is a lot like an AP English teacher kicking a student out of another teacher's AP Stats class." Kyouka commented, a finger twisted in her earphone jack.
"So, what's the plan?" Kaminari asked, "I've never had a teacher try to abuse the power they had over me before."
"Lucky you," Izuku thought to himself.
"Go back to the classroom and call our lawyers, sue the school and make sure this ends, like a proper hero would?" Momo suggested, "it's not like we can go to the principal, learning where their office is would usually be part of orientation when the building is this big."
"I don't have a lawyer," Kirishima replied.
"Me neither, but i once bumped into someone who spilled hot tea on the Dragon of Musutafu and lost everything they owned." Mineta commented.
"I know one who picks locks," Sero said, "does that count."
Class 1-A slowly shuffled back to class, leaving behind Bakugo and Aizawa.
"Fine, I'll pay for your lawyers too, but you all owe me 50 casual meet-ups," Momo replied, already mentally planning her first outing with someone her age.
