Work Text:
Bocchi was draped across Kita’s and Nijika’s legs in the living room, watching Oh!Tube on the TV, when they heard a loud expletive from somewhere else in their house.
They looked at each other for a moment, and Bocchi decided to pause the video, just in time for Ryo to come around the corner.
“Nijikaaaaaaa,” she whined, rubbing her forehead.
Nijika sighed, but there was a hint of smugness in her smile. “What did you try to take from my room this time?”
“I was only trying to get my manga back,” Ryo said. “But your doorway has to be made for dwarves. I constantly hit my head…”
“It’s effective defense from giants always trying to take my things,” Nijika countered. “It’s just comeuppance.”
Ryo grumbled. “Can you at least kiss it better?”
Before Nijika could answer anything to that, Bocchi had already stood up and walked halfway across the room.
“Um, Bocchi, that was – “ As much as Ryo tried to explain that it’d been a joke, Bocchi was simply faster and placed a kiss on the bump growing on Ryo’s forehead.
“I-Is that better?”
There was a hint of a blush on Ryo’s face, though she tried to hide that with her hand. “…Yeah. It is,” she admitted after a moment. “Anyway, what I was gonna say – “
Again, she was interrupted, this time by Kita, who even made sure to stroke her head in addition to the kiss.
“Will this help you recover, my prince?” she asked, smiling brightly.
Ryo made a face. “I still don’t know how I feel about you calling me that.”
“You called me princess first.”
“Because you were being one.”
“Well, prince fits you better than knight in shining armor.” Kita stuck her tongue out. “Acting like this is your castle.”
And before Ryo could protest, Nijika had already finished the job with a third kiss.
“Pain, pain, go away,” she sing-songed, gently holding Ryo’s hand, though it was hard to miss the shit-eating grin underneath she was trying so hard to hold back. “Does your boo-boo feel better now?”
Trying to hide her tomato-red face, Ryo groaned. “You’re the worst.”
“I wear that title with pride.” Nijika stopped miming the overly doting lover, openly smirking now. “Besides, you asked for it.”
Sighing, Ryo walked over to the couch and let herself fall onto it. “Were you watching anything interesting?”
“Trying to change the topic, are we?”
“Yes,” Ryo said bluntly. “Now, are you gonna let me join or not?”
“Fine, fine,” Nijika relented, and they sat back down on the couch – now with someone for Bocchi to rest her legs on.
