Work Text:
Once Edgin started paying attention, he realised that Zia visited him often.
Sometimes, it was in his dreams. He would hold her close and apologise endlessly, and she would smile and tell him that it was alright.
Other times, she appeared in a different form. A dragonfly would watch him from a nearby flower, fly around his head when he bathed in rivers or lakes, or land on Kira’s hand when they picnicked.
Although Zia had moved on to a new life, and Edgin supposed he had done the same; he still missed her deeply, and treasured every small reunion.
