Summary
The boys had let out a sigh of relief when they were first told they'd be going away over Christmas. The slog of going away to film a reality show felt much less overbearing amidst the stress and anxiety of award show season, and even though it was technically work, taking a few days to breathe and rest between schedules would be welcome respite for them. They'd only grown even more excited for the trip when they were been told what it'd involve; three nights out in the Korean mountains, learning to ski and taking part in a wide variety of winter-themed activities as a way to celebrate the holiday season. It felt like the perfect way to spend some hard-earned time together, doing nothing other than just having fun.
However, over the first day of filming, Ricky found his focus waning more and more by the hour. No matter how hard he tried to concentrate, he just kept getting distracted, messing up even the most basic skiing manoeuvres and repeatedly losing his balance from a sheer lack of concentration. To top it all off, to make everything even more frustrating, the source of this repeated and unrelenting distraction had only been growing worse.
