Chapter Text
Izuku was having an even worse day than usual. Bakugo had told him to kill himself and All Might had said that quirkless people couldn’t be heroes. Izuku took out his notebook and started to write. When he was done, he stood up and walked over to the edge of the building. He slid off his shoes and easily climbed over the railing that was clearly to keep people from falling accidentally, rather than jumping. He stood there for a moment, letting the wind blow through his hair. He smiled, and stepped forward.
…
He’d barely started falling when he’d abruptly jerked to a stop. Someone had stopped him, as was evidenced by the way he was pulled back up to the roof to see a skeleton, blue strings coming from their hand. They were almost entirely pitch-black, with blue lines coming down from their eye sockets. Izuku was lowered to the rooftop, falling the last few inches onto his ass.
“Uh…hi.” Izuku awkwardly said. What do you say to the person who just stopped your suicide attempt? He didn’t exactly feel like thanking them!
“̵.̴.̴.̷h̶i̸.̷ ̴I̵’̸m̶ ̷E̵r̴r̶o̵r̷.̷ ̷H̵e̸/̷h̷i̸m̸.̴”̷
“Like…”

But they were still aware of the major players, aka the Star Sanses and Nightmare’s Gang. (as well as the couple of independent parties.) And everyone knew of Error, the destroyer of universes.
“Why?”

“I’m quirkless.” Error didn’t speak for a moment, before noticing Izukus growing nervous.

“Oh. Um, my main bully told me to kill myself ‘cause he found out I’m planning to go to hero school, and All Might, the hero I look up to most, told me ‘no’ and to ‘be more realistic’ when I asked if a quirkless person like me could be a hero.”
“̷A̷l̴l̴ ̶m̵i̸g̷h̵t̸?̴”̴
“Oh, right, he’s the number one hero and the symbol of peace.”

“I mean-”
“̶N̴o̷ ̸e̶x̷c̸u̸s̴e̷s̴.̴”̸ Then he stiffened. ̵“̶S̶h̸i̷t̴.̸ ̴I̸’̶d̵ ̶g̶e̶n̸u̷i̴n̶e̵l̵y̶ ̷l̵o̸v̸e̶ ̵t̶o̶ ̶t̷a̴l̶k̸ ̶m̴o̸r̷e̴ ̴b̴u̶t̵…̵I̶ ̷m̴i̵g̶h̶t̴’̵v̸e̷ ̵n̴o̸t̶ ̶t̷o̴l̸d̵ ̴y̸o̶u̸ ̸s̶o̶m̸e̸t̶h̴i̵n̸g̶.̴ ̷I̶n̴k̸’̷s̸ ̵c̷h̶a̷s̴i̶n̴g̵ ̶m̷e̸.̶ ̶S̴o̴…̷”̸
“Wait!” Izuku quickly pulled a notecard out of his bag and wrote on it. “My address and phone number. I’m Midoriya, by the way. Midoriya Izuku. I’d like to talk more too.” Error stared at him, shocked, for several seconds before nodding and forming a portal, which he left through.
