When Rody awoke on his couch he immediately didn’t feel well. He tried to stand up but stumbled and had to grip onto his coffee table. Regrettably he had to call in sick to work.
Ring.
Ring.
“You’re late, Lamoree.” answered Vince in his usual gruff voice.
“Oh, I’m sorry, I-I don’t feel veryy-,” Rody’s voice slurred a little and his eyelids were feeling awfully heavy- THUNK.
“Lamoree? Rody? Goddamnit.”
When Rody awoke, he was back on his couch and on his coffee table was a bowl of chicken soup with two smaller bowls next to it that contained cooked noodles and rice. He looked at the Sticky note and read, “ Didn’t know which you perfer. Get better and remember lock your door.”
For the first time when eating Vincent’s food, he felt it was actually made with love.
