Volt nods, swallowing down a lump in his throat. “Neither have I.” He bites his lip, wondering how much he needs to say, how much Eddie needs to know. But he loves him, doesn’t he? Wants anything, everything with him? “Eddie, there’s…” his lip quivers, and his brows arch, “there’s never been anyone.”
Set before Volt Circia turned to a vampire, when he was a man, in love with the wolf Eddie Watts that found solace in his family manor. After months hiding their devotion to each other, they finally come together for the first time.

It’s for your own good, you think, despite how sorry you are, as Eddie masterfully weaves the wires around your arms, across your back, keeping your shoulder blades almost pressed together. You can feel the woven braids of the wires making marks into your skin, circling your forearms, your elbows, your biceps, immobilizing you more and more with every inch they climb. They’re warm, practically humming, and you wonder if Eddie is charging them somehow, consciously or not.

Eddie leaned in closer to Volt, breath mingling in the space. Eddie bit his lip, and Volt’s gaze darted from Eddie’s eyes to his lips, his breath shaking and heart pounding. They were so close that Volt could just- No. Volt internally scolded himself. What was he thinking? Whatever it was, he wasn’t thinking straight, Eddie made sure of that.
Eddie enjoyed watching the internal struggle Volt seemed to be going through. He knew what Volt wanted; getting Volt to fall in love with him had been part of his plan from the beginning, and it delighted him that it was working. Eddie wanted to deny it, even to himself, but he felt the spreading warmth of romantic feelings bubbling in his coldened heart.
