A long confusing day ended with SMG4 and SMG3 sharing a coffee during the shop's closing hours.
“So you actually considering killing me again?”
Three took a sip of his coffee, nodding.
“Yep but then I realized that it would be dumb since I went through all this character development and I didn't want your friends to try and kill me.”
Four chuckled, a smile tugging on his lips.
“Aww, well thanks for not killing me”
Three rolled his eyes, a light blush becoming very obvious on his cheeks.
“Shut up, I just didn't want to go through a whole other character arc and killing you would fuck up the whole balance of the memes or whatever”
Four took a sip of his coffee.
“What made you change your mind? Other than your character development”
Three didn't answer the question immediately, his mind shuffling back through the memories of the two and the snowtrapped-
“Just my character arc! No other reason at all” Three didn't sound convincing in the slightest, he words sounding rushed.
“Just my arc, since I don't care about you, I couldn't care less about you baka!”
“Heh whatever you say 3”
A soft silence complimented by the quiet night minus the occasional cricket and the sound of sipping some coffee.
“Hey 3, I love you”
Three choked on his coffee, blush immediately brightening his face. Four always knew how to catch him off guard. He cleared his throat, wiping the coffee from his face, not caring about this white glove he used as a napkin.
“I love you too 4”
Four gently laid his hand on top of Three's holding it with ease.
“Also if you ever try to kill me for some villains that you haven't interacted with in years, I'm gonna kill you too.
Three laughed at Four's empty threat.
“We go down together then”
“We better”
The two continued on drinking their respective coffees, holding the other's hand, just enjoying the other's company and continued their conversations.
They were truly meant for each other. (Despite it being a little messy sometimes)
