If asked what infuriates Kaveh he would probably answer :
1) His husband
2) Dori
3) His husband
4) The fact that his son took his husband personality
5) His husband
6) The vampire named Aventurine
7) His husband
8) Injustice
9) His husband
10) AlHaitham (his husband).
Yes, that would be a befitting answer for Kaveh because right now he's mad at AlHaitham who took his sunflowers without his consent ! The sunflowers were supposed to go to Veritas (his son) pond to chase the blond vampire who took an interest in him ! And the worst of it is that AlHaitham knew ! That's it ! Kaveh has enough. Tonight AlHaitham and him won't sleep together because he will be at his son's pond.
And just like that the feisty blond walked off.
Uppon arriving he saw Veritas reading yet another thick book but definitely a different one than the one he had been reading this morning. So walking quietly Kaveh sat down next to him and read a little before understanding that Veritas was learning about architecture just like him. It made Kaveh happy that his son is taking an interest in the field he also likes but he hopes he doesnt do it to please Kaveh... Well no, knowing Veritas definitely not.
Kaveh then realised that he was watched and looked at Veritas who was looking at him with his eternal neutral expression.
Kaveh : "Hi Veri !"
Said Kaveh with one of his flashing smile.
Veritas : "The fact that you are here indicate that you have something to tell me and if you're not disturbing my reading it means it concern me and you want to talk about it when I will be doing nothing."
Answered his son instead of "Good morning" before putting down his book, putting a dry purple flower Kaveh gave him as a good luck charm between the pages to mark them.
Kaveh : "Can't you just answer "Hi" back instead of analyzing me ? You sound exactly like AlHaitham !"
Veritas : "Sounding like one of my parents is normal since we're biologically linked. And since I have been raised by both of you I, of course, took some of your personality traits. But emotions are a waste of time, hence, I decided to adapt a personality like father so I could be more rational."
Kaveh : "You ! You know what ? I don't care ! I'll stay with you tonight so that God forsaken vampire won't come and try to suck you dry !"
Veritas : "I would prefer if-"
Was what Veritas started but stopped when he saw his dad (who actually has the mother role in their familly) look at him with "THAT" look. A look that even his father prefer not to get. He heard nature fairies like his dad had some magical powers from their look and at first he thought his dad's one was his pretty look until he once saw him give his father that look. Since then Veritas prefers not to continue speaking contrary to his father when he sees it.
"Okay then."
He agreed before continuing his reading.
Veritas sensed his dad stand up and go to the pillar his father allowed him to gather.
Kaveh : "Can I put some sunflowers on them ?"
Asked his dad.
Veritas : "They will wilt."
Answered Veritas.
Kaveh : "I know but I'll try making them survive."
Veritas : "And how so ?"
Kaveh : "I'll find a solution."
His dad has always been stubborn.
Kaveh started to make the sunflowers grow, his powers have weakened ever since someone tore of his wings off making him looks like a human (and almost dead) but he's still strong. So he tried many way to make the sunflowers survive in his son's pond.
When Veritas awoke his power the pond where he was became... Contaminated ? The water was so bright that the flowers actually wilted at the speed of light as if the water was the sun itself. That's why Kaveh asked Aether and Lumine, the twins, if they knew anything about it and they answered no. Even after talking to Caelus, Stelle and even Mr.Yang there wasn't any answer. He once met a curious merchant name Luocha who, uppon seing the water, said that nothing could ever heal it except for Veritas's death. Kaveh was about to get mad at the merchant but it was AlHaitham who actually got angry and told the green eyed man to immediately leave. Ever since they never told what the merchant said to their son on a mutual agreement.
Back to the present Kaveh is trying to make the flowers survive. The one he had prepared were actually specials since their root started way before his son's pond and were able to stand scorching heat and bright light without being artificials. It took Kaveh many nights and days to do it so why did AlHaitham even took them ? He doesn't even use flowers except some lotuses and waterlilies !
Kaveh sighed, there is no point in getting angry right now.
When the night came Kaveh said good night to Veritas and put a very small sunflower in his son's hair. Veritas looked at him as if he was going to say how useless it was but decided to keep it at the last moment and just went to sleep. Kaveh kept watch and eventually the man he wished his son never met came, Aventurine.
Aventurine is a tall blond man but smaller and leaner than Veritas, he has pink eyes with a cyan circle in them and he is a pure blood vampire which means that if he bites his son with the intent to turn him into a vampire Veritas could die. And Kaveh will never let that happen, his son means the world to him.
Aventurine : "Why hello."
Said the vampire and Kaveh immediately, unconsciously, gave him "that" look, specific to him, a power derived from the purest form of nature.
Aventurine : "Ahah !"
The pink eyed man laughed.
Aventurine : "No need to be so angry. You see I made a bet with your son."
Kaveh : "A bet ?"
Aventurine : "Yes, I told him that I will be able to clean his pond water."
Kaveh : "How so ?"
Aventurine : "That is a secret mister Kaveh Ratio."
Kaveh doesn't like how the man's speak but if he wants information he needs to speak in a civil manner.
Kaveh : "And what does your bet have to do with going to see my son almost every night ? That's harassment and it's illegual even for someone like you."
Said Kaveh in a defensive way.
Aventurine : "Now, now, don't say that. But it's kind of funny how Veritas is similar to you with how defensive he gets eveytime I come see him."
Kaveh : "Then why do you continue ?"
Aventurine : "Because life a big game where I'm always the victor."
Kaveh : "What do you mean ?"
Aventurine : "Well if Veritas wins the bet I'll leave him alone and even compensate him."
Kaveh : "And if you win ?"
Aventurine : "If I win he will accept my courtship."
Kaveh's brain stopped working for a second.
Kaveh : "What ?"
Aventurine : "I want to seduce your son mister."
Kaveh : "Wait, wait, wait. You realise that you are a vampire, a specie that mostly lives at night and that can't stand some things like sunflowers right ?"
Aventurine : "Of course."
Aventurine looked at Kaveh amused but Kaveh was too preoccupied to think.
Kaveh : "And you realise that Veritas lives mostly the day and is always surrounded by flowers right ?"
Aventurine : "The fact that you never say to people that Veritas is a fairy is interesting. Why don't you do it ?"
Kaveh looked at him again, analyzing the situation.
Kaveh : "I spoke about his living habits, not his specie. And it has nothing to do with you."
Aventurine : "That is actually interesting and I actually like the gamble I'm getting into by trying to seduce Veritas and win you trust while being completely different from you or your husband."
Kaveh : "I refuse your bet with my son."
Said Kaveh sharply.
Aventurine : "Oh but you can't force me to not do it if Veritas agreed, he's an adult and if you refuse then that's a violation to his first living principles."
Kaveh : "I just want to protect him !"
Kaveh can't believe Aventurine accused him of something so horrible.
Kaveh : "But aren't you actually doing just so ?"
Kaveh : "No."
Aventurine : "But you are. The fact that you're here prove everyth-"
??? : "Enough."
They both turned their head to the third party that walked in, AlHaitham.
Aventurine : "Why hello mister AlHa-"
AlHaitham : "Enough. You are actually trespassing my territory since Veritas's pond is part of it. You are also harassing him so leave and don't come back before I make the matras and the Divine Commission involved."
Aventurine then laughed and started to walk away.
Aventurine : "No need to get so worked up. Farewell then~"
AlHaitham then looked at Kaveh who seemed to be ready to commit a murder and simply took him in his arms.
AlHaitham : "Let's get to sleep."
Kaveh didn't answered, letting AlHaitham drags him to their actual communion pond and in their nest.
