Summary
Dr Ivo Robotnik suffers from C-PTSD, due to a childhood of abuse, abandonment, abduction, aggression, bullying, drugging, endangerment, failed fostering, forced perfectionism, misdiagnosis, neglect, rejection, ridicule, sexual harassment, sickness, starvation, violence and more. Now as an adult, without ever having had proper therapy or support, he is a psychological tyre fire.
Agent Stone has been profiling his case for some time, and takes immense pity on him. Dr Robotnik's situation was never unique. What breaks him is how incredibly isolated, vulnerable, suicidal, driven and friendless he still is. Then he realises that he was the one who slipped through the systems cracks, and never found safety. Now he needs more than just a friend. He needs love. Unconditional love. He needs a family.
