Before she could restrain herself, she declared, “The other girls play kissing games.”
It was true; she had seen a Redwyne and a Lannister cousin exchanging pecks in the sept. They were holding onto each other’s hands as they kissed and giggled, tilting their heads like birds.
Rhaenyra looked uncharacteristically shocked, wringing her hands a moment later. “Yes, that may be so, but…” The ghost of a smile appeared. “Alicent… are you possibly implying you’d like us to kiss?”
Oh, how she wanted to escape the trap she’d laid for herself. Alicent squared her shoulders and replied, “If you wish it.”
Fearing getting married off as soon as she bleeds, Rhaenyra acquires Alicent's help in hiding it. Afterward, they begin playing a kissing game.
