Work Text:
It was an ordeal to get Lila to shower. She was like a cat, hating water. Sirius tried capturing Lila as she evaded him, slipping through the cracked door of her room into the hall.
“Come on, Lila. You need to shower to be clean and smell nice.” He held a towel in one hand and his wand in the other.
“I don’t wanna.” Sticking out her tongue at him before she ran down the stairs.
She looked behind her and didn’t notice the person at the bottom of the stairs. Severus picked her up. No escape.
“Why are you running around without clothes on?” Severus arched an eyebrow.
Lila pouted. “Please, no shower?” Her lower lip quivered, and her eyes glimmered.
“None of that, now.” Severus gave Sirius their daughter. "Remember, you must shower before bedtime because that is what we do.”
“Why?”
“So that you are clean.”
“Why?”
“So that you may not become ill.”
“What’s that?”
“Sick. You don’t like being sick, right? It makes you feel yucky and you can’t play with Harry or Draco.”
“I don’t like feeling yucky.”
“Then you have to let Daddy give you a shower.”
“Okay, Dad.” She clutched Sirius’ shirt as they walked into the bathroom.
