“We’ll finally be together,” said Eddie softly.
Steve reached out a hand and held Eddie’s jaw lightly. The fireplace threw shadows across the room but even in the low light, Steve could see every tone of colour throughout Eddie’s eyes as if they were lit up in a private showing just for him.
“You tell a fine story,” said Steve.
“I make a fine plan,” corrected Eddie, raising an eyebrow and leaning into Steve’s touch. “You’ll be twenty one in two weeks, we have little time left to lose,”
