Work Text:

The Fetts loved their sister. They did. Their life was so much brighter and joyful with Omega in it. Tech would never get himself ice-cream out of craving. But now? Raising a child changed his mind on so many things.

And the in-laws loved their sister-in-law. They did. Rory would always smuggle sweets in his backpack and Gale kept her mesmerised with various facts and plant trivia.

That being said, they were all glad when Omega begged for a sleepover with Hera. This meant they could all gather as a family, legal or blood, have a laugh, share some inappropriate stories and for those who wanted it, some adult juice to loosen up.

“And-and then-,” Wrecker hollered with excitement, but after a glance at Gale and Hunter’s furrowed brows, he smiled sheepishly and quieted his voice down to a calmer exclaim.
“And then Hunter threw up allllll over Tech’s trousers,” Wrecker chuckled as Hunter covered his grin with a knuckle, while Tech began to grow increasingly red in the face.

“I don't know what you’re laughing at, brother dearest,” Tech snipped sarcastically, politely sitting up straighter next to Gale on the couch, “It wasn’t remotely funny.”

“It was a little bit,” Hunter muttered, still hiding the smirk.

“It was not!”

“It was a little bit funny,” Crosshair scoffed, then hid from Tech’s murder stare behind the maroon mop in his lap.

“And then?” Gale enquired with wide, curious eyes, “What followed?”
Wrecker’s wide smile faded a little and he shrugged.

“Well.. then we all went home in a taxi and Echo kept complaining that Tech’s trousers would take ages to wash,” Wrecker explained, then snickered again, “But that’s nowhere near as funny.”

“Ah,” She replied stiffly, “Was I not supposed to ask about that part? I apologise.”

“It’s all good,” Echo waved a hand and smiled warmly, “Flawless social interaction isn’t a required skill here.”
Gale visibly relaxed.

“Ah, well, that’s a relief,” Their fingers began to rub together, in what Echo recognized to be a stim, “Besides, what society considers good social interaction is always up for debate.”

“Exactly!” Echo leaned forward with frustration, “I couldn’t give less of a shit if you stay still or fidget or make eye contact or whatever. You communicate the way that's best for you.”

“I’m so glad you understand,” she rambled eagerly, “Neurotypical society has forever dictated what..”

Tech relaxed against the couch, proudly observing how the love of his life and his brother both ranted about annoying social norms. He looked around in a dazed, calm feeling of peace, seeing his family and his partner together. Wrecker was currently trying to convince Hunter to do what he wants with his sleep schedule, and to not complain if he is part of or excluded from wacky shenanigans. Crosshair watched all of this silently, but with a small, sincere smile on his face. Whereas Rory, seated comfortably on his boyfriend’s lap, curiously stared at the piano in the corner of the room.
Tech shifted closer to the wider armchair and lifted his eyebrows invitingly.

“Curious?” he asked the smaller man, who with a slightly flustered face, nodded.

“Yeah.. don’t wanna be nosey but.. I didn’t know you guys play,” Rory nodded at the grand instrument.

“Yes.. well.. I am the only one in our family that can actually play,” Tech stated matter-of-factly, “It is a hobby of mine when I’m not researching or solving Sudoku.”
Rory looked at him in awe.
“Perhaps I could play you a song later on?” he offered.

Before he could reply, Crosshair stirred with a heavy sigh and started to chuckle, low in his throat.

“I can play the piano,” he drawled, not entirely sober, “You're jus’ jealous Tech.”

“You can play?” Rory exclaimed in surprise, “You never told me!”

“He can’t,” Tech stated firmly, “One song is not-.”

“One song,” Crosshair interrupted with a smirk, “Is all I need. All the boys fall at my feet.” Then he leaned his head back and giggled. Rory rested both hands on his chest and leaned closer to him.

“I wanna see,” he muttered.

“No!” Tech cried out firmly “Crosshair! Not Rush E. We cannot take any more Rush E in this household.”

“Ssshut up,” Crosshair muttered and rose majestically from the armchair, “What Rory wants, Rory gets.”

“Resist the Rush E temptation, brother.”

“Never,” Crosshair grinned like the Cheshire fucking cat and approached the piano. As he dusted off the top and opened the lid, Echo, Wrecker and Hunter stared in horror at their youngest brother. Gale gazed on curiously, while Rory eagerly waited for his boyfriend to start playing.

Crosshair elegantly lifted his hand, and held out one finger.

“Oh no,” Wrecker hushed out.

“What’s going on?” Gale asked, observing the growing concern of the Fett family.

“Brace yourself, my sibling-in-law,” Echo warned, “This might get ugly.”

“What is?”

‘It begins,” Hunter deadpanned gravely and settled firmly on the other couch.

Crosshair only grinned back, while Tech glared at him icily. Then, his lone finger descended onto the piano key and played the note.
Tech stood up.

“Don’t,” Tech said quietly, “You dare.”

Crosshair’s teeth sparkled under the lamp.
Then played the note again.

“I am the Rush E champion,” he drawled smugly.

“Bullshit,” Tech seethed and stormed over to the piano, “Go on then.”
Crosshair continued to slowly and smugly play Rush E on the piano, while the siblings and in-laws watched with fascinated terror. His hands jumped and snapped, and thankfully, Tech’s wavering breath couldn’t be heard over the Russian themed tune.
Then Crosshair finished the melody with a neat flick of his wrist.

“Beat. That,” Crosshair quipped and moved aside. Tech yanked the seat out and sat down, brows furrowing in determination. He cracked his knuckles.

“You’ll regret this,” Tech commented smugly. Then lifted a finger, and began to play. Rush E. Again. But slightly faster.

“They have a competition to see who can play Rush E the fastest,” Wrecker explained in a low voice to the observing partners, “It never ends well.”

“Crosshair is convinced he is the best,” Hunter chimed in, as Crosshair and Tech switched places, and the ex-sniper began to play Rush E. Again. But faster.

“Tech is the actual champion, but he can’t be bothered to prove Crosshair wrong half the time and lets him win,” Echo made sure to speak quietly so that the sibling rivals didn’t overhear.

Gale and Rory excitedly watched their partners play the iconic tune. This excitement turned into wonder, then concern, as Crosshair and Tech just.. kept.. going. Faster and faster and faster until their hands were a blur of fingers.

“I am better than you, brother, accept it!” Tech proclaimed loudly, as his fingers worked magic over the keys, “What do I get if I win?”

“Nothing,” Crosshair muttered in determination as he glared at the piano, “My fingers are unmatched, aren’t they Rory?”

“Uhmmmm,” Rory fought to keep his voice neutral, “I mean.. they are.. good.. but I love you regardless who wins Rush E, loverboy.”

“Oh I’m sure Gale can vouch for my skills, isn’t that right, darling?” Tech replied nonchalantly as he switched seats, again.

“Of course.. I can..,” Gale side-eyed Rory while Hunter, Echo and Wrecker silently observed the Rush-E-off, “But.. again.. I love you for your exceptional mind, not just your fingers."

The brothers continued squabbling, in all of their tipsy seriousness, whose fingers would make their partners scream the most and play Rush E the fastest.
Gale and Rory only watched in concerned anticipation. Crosshair was playing so fast that Rory wondered if his hands were about to fall off.
They both knew that whoever won would be smugly making love to one of them to prove their point. And that whoever lost would engage in a frustrated, however consensual, round of love making to let off the steam.

On and on it continued.. until..

“FUCK!” Crosshair screamed as he missed a note, and banged his fist on the counter next to him.

“I am.. the Rush E champion,” Tech concluded smugly, with an evil glint in his eyes.

“Impossible!” Crosshair seethed, then his eyes settled on Rory’s, whose own lit up in dark excitement, “I can use my hands for other purposes.”
He stood up and swiftly strode over to the armchair. His long, lanky arms curled around Rory’s legs and ass, and effortlessly hauled him into the air.

“Cross!” Rory squeaked, “I love you hotshot, but that was impressive! You're a winner to me!”

“We’ll be back,” Crosshair announced with a smirk as he carried Rory upstairs to his room, still muttering to himself, “Next time.. I’ll beat him..”

While Echo, Hunter and Wrecker whooped and teased them until they were gone, Gale stood up and slowly made her way to the true Rush E champion.

“Did you enjoy that, darling?” Tech murmured into Gale’s ear.

“Oh yes,” she hushed against him, “I wonder what else those fingers could do.”
They pressed their lips to his fingertips and sucked gently.
Tech’s eyes darkened further as he tipped their chin up with the free fingers.

“Wouldn’t you like to know, darling?” He whispered smugly.

“Get a ROOM,” Echo shouted and interrupted their sexual-tension-fueled, finger-sucking session, “Jesus!”

“Sorry!” Gale and Tech echoed together, not sorry at all. Then they joined hands and darted upstairs like two shy lovers.

“Well..,” Hunter sighed as he rubbed his face and exhaled, “At least there was no fire this time.”

“Whew!” Wrecker chuckled, and passed Hunter’s red ear defenders to him, “Might wanna take them, Sarge.”
At Hunter’s confused face, Wrecker continued with a mischievous grin.
“Unless you wanna hear..,” and then Wrecker pitched his voice ridiculously high and made the most pornographic moaning sounds possible, “Ah! Fuck me Crosshair! Fuck me!”

Hunter glared at him and shoved the ear defenders on, while Wrecker roared with laughter and Echo face planted.
Thank goodness Omega wasn't here.
