Jimin’s eyes narrowed and he got defensive. “What do you know about love, Jihyun?” he snapped.
Jihyun didn’t have an answer for him because, honestly, he knew nothing about love. He’d never been in a relationship. He couldn’t relate to cheesy love songs or the dumb poetry he was forced to read in his literature class. He couldn’t relate to his friends who had those crushes that seemed to take over every part of their brain and made them unbearable to talk to until their feelings fizzled out. He didn’t know how it felt to fall for someone. He felt weird watching people kiss in public and thought it was odd how often and casually they threw around ‘I love you’s to each other, as if that wouldn’t devalue and water down the meaning of the words. He didn’t know what his brother saw in the loser he was with or what made him stay. He didn’t know the first thing about love.
