Zuko’s already naturally raspy voice comes out even more broken as he confesses. He forces himself to meet Mai’s eyes.
The expression on Mai’s delicate face is not one of shock, or even anger. But there is a steady stream of tears leaking down her pale cheeks. Zuko is unsurprised when he begins crying, too.
