The party is winding down. Just the core group left hanging out in Steve’s living room, all happy and giggling, tipsy from a night of drinking and dancing.
Steve spins the bottle with a roll of his eyes, watching as it spins around, his heart picking up when it starts to slow, looking like it might land on Eddie. Which would be a perfect excuse to lean in with a shrug and press his lips to–
Robin.
The bottle landed on Robin!? Steve watches her face scrunch and he huffs out a laugh. She acts like they don’t spend most nights snuggled in his bed. She has no problem hanging all over him on a daily basis, but a peck on the lips during spin the bottle is too much.
Steve leans across the circle and waves her forward. “Come on, Robs. Let’s get it over with.”
Robin rolls her eyes and shifts forward, clearly cringing in preparation. Steve shifts at the last second to press a kiss to her forehead before shoving her back into place. She flashes him a smile before flipping him, and the rest of the circle off as they heckle them about cheating. Steve goes to lean back in his spot when Eddie sighs loudly, annoyed with all the complaining happening around him, and turns the bottle to face him, jerking forward and grabbing Steve’s face to plaster their lips together. Everyone whistles and cheers before Eddie pulls back with a loud smack and returns to his seat.
“ There! Wheeler, go! It’s your turn.”
Steve falls back on his ass with a thump, his face blazing and mouth dropping open wide. His eyes flash back to Robin who is staring at him with wide, shocked eyes, her hands covering her mouth and trying to stifle a laugh. Steve glances cautiously over to Eddie who shoots him a quick wink, making Steve’s heart somersault in his chest. He looks down to the bottle, desperate for a distraction and watches the bottle land solidly on Robin, again.
Steve snorts, eyes flicking up to watch the panic spread across Robin’s face as Nancy leans forward, waiting to meet her in the middle of the circle.
