    "We're helping each other," I corrected, "and why exactly are you still holding your sword to my neck?" I raised my eyebrows, shifting my weight from one foot to the other nervously.

    "Because your reaction to me doing so is… intriguing, to say the least," he smiled knowingly and dug the dull, cold metal deeper into my skin.
