Chapter Text
When six kids randomly appeared out of nowhere Radar wasn’t as surprised as he should have been. The kids looked around seemingly just as confused about how they had gotten there as he was. One second Radar had been the only one there, about to head to bed, and the next there were the kids.
“Hi, my name's Radar. Are … Are you alright,” Radar asked timidly, not entirely sure what else to say.
“We’re fine. Though where exactly are we, we're a little lost?,” the tall brown haired kid said.
“Mash 4077…Uijeongbu, Korea”, Radar said “You must be hungry I’ll get you guys something to eat.
“Heading off to bed Radar,” Potter said as Radar headed out the door.
“Actually sir, … I,” Radar started not quite sure how to explain what just happened.
“What is it,” Potter said.
“Sir, I think you should probably see for yourself. I'm going to get some food. I think they're probably hungry, sir” Radar said nervously.
“Radar who’s in there,” Potter said exasperated “Please don’t say it’s Flagg again.”
“No sir, just some kids, sir,” Radar said.
“Thank goodness. I’ll see how they are doing. the kids aren’t too raddled are they,” Potter asked.
“No sir, just a little confused. They said they were lost,” Radar said.
“Well then, go ahead and get them the food you promised and I’ll look after them till you get back,” Potter said cheerfully.
“Will do, sir,” Radar said, saluting.
Potter then opened then to see six teens all probably 15 years old at the oldest staring back at him. Their clothes were completely clean which was surprising considering it rained for a good 2 hours straight that day. It was also clear that they probably did not come from the nearby town.
“ Hello, I’m Colonel Potter. Radar said you were a bit lost. I think I can get back to your families if you can tell me where you were headed to before you got her,” Potter said.
“Nowhere really… my names Jake,” said the tallest boy.
The others then introduced themselves as Ax, Tobias, Cassie, and Rachel. As they introduced themselves Potter noticed how what Radar took as confusion really was well hidden fear. Whatever these teens had been though it hadn’t been pretty and didn’t look like they wanted anyone to know. It reminded him of some of the soldiers he had known in the past. Why these kids acted like this though was a question Potter didn’t think he wanted an answer to.
“Okay, I’ll have Radar get some blankets and any extra cots we have when he gets back. You kids will sleep here with him tonight. Sorry it will be a bit crowded, tomorrow we'll get started on getting you all a better place to stay,” Potter said as Radar opened the door.
“Got some oranges, sir,” Radar said, putting the small box of oranges on the table, “Take as many as you want.”
“Thank you, Radar. Can you, “ Potter started saying.
“Get some blankets and cots. Right away sir,” Radar said happily.
“Okay then, I’m heading to bed. You should get to bed to Radar after you get everything of course,” Potter said.
“Of course, sir,” Radar said.
