Bonnie hums and leans her head on the car door. Caroline understands. She was pretty much inconsolable after her dad died and Bonnie’s mom died and left. Caroline thinks that might break her. That Bonnie is stronger than she is for enduring it.
They arrive at the waterfall after a car ride spent with Caroline's empty chatter and pop music. Caroline gets out of the car and starts stripping, the temperature making her break out into goose flesh. She puts on her favorite swimsuit. Out of the corner of her eye she notices Bonnie looking at her. She doesn’t acknowledge it. Caroline knows that if she says something Bonnie will freeze up. So she says nothing and feels pleasantly known.

Summary
The witch who did the spell probably wanted something else to happen but she was new to the whole cursing people business and accidentally gave Caroline the ability to control the tentacle growth. Caroline's done a lot of experimenting. She grew tentacles for hair, a few tentacle dicks but her favorite has to be changing her fingers into tentacles. The hair was purely to experiment with the medusa look for a few days before getting bored of it.
Her favorite has to be changing the fingers on her right hand into tentacles if only for the view it gives her.

Elijah warps and stretches, leaves behind his bugs and becomes one with the man that he is. The man sitting on the floor cradling his dead baby brother.

Seth was not satisfied with ART's explanation that the whole incident was “voluntary security training” (correct), “a learning experience for all of us” (ugh), or “possibly a form of bonding between SecUnits” (double ugh). So now Three and I had to have a meeting with Seth, Karime, and ART, plus Iris, who was sitting in to "listen and learn." I could have asked Mensah to talk her way in as an expert mediator or something, but let’s be real, I’m not going to do that.
(No, Mensah hadn't joined ART's crew. We were on our way back to Mihira, and she and her second-eldest had come along to visit Amena, who was studying at PSUMNT. Well, that's what she'd said. Clearly, they were also visiting me.)
