From the tallest peak of the highest mountain,
The world below is as dark as it is twisted.
Once, not too long ago, this world was a place of joy and happiness in which many found new purpose in their lives after another time had come to an abrupt end, but there were many who held out hope for them to return to the world that left them behind.
However, as with all things in life, fates were cruel in their designs. One day, all went to waste as a giant bottle of thinner fell from the sky, and upon its crashing down upon the ground, a wave of acidic water rushed through and twisted the many colorful and beautiful locations and their surroundings into a dark reflection of what it once was, while the atmosphere of a light and cheery world was replaced by an endless night sky that stormed and thundered even in the day.
From the madness of this came the Blot and his army of monsters, which pillaged and ransacked the land in pursuit of an unknown goal.
One of the most important and powerful forces within the king’s circle betrayed him and sided with the tyrant that threatened to overtake and overthrow Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and his loyal supporters for power and the ability to no longer be subservient to any other person or entity.
The betrayer in question was the Mad Doctor, once a man who seemed to be dedicated to the cause and upkeep of the kingdom and served as a creator and engineer of many devices that served to make the lives of the people of Wastelabd better, but like his real motivations, This too was a facade within those same machines he had built to be construction crews and caretakers of the world; they were, in reality, walking weapons of mass destruction that, when turned to the side of evil, would destroy and decimate the very structures and systems they had been built to help now to destroy with no regard or any concern to those who got in their way.
Around the same time, the Gremlins, a series of rejected toons from a World War II production, were called into service to act as the first line of defense against these mechanical weapons of evil science, but in time, the Doctor used his knowledge of their abilities to constrain and cage them.
With the outlook of the war no longer in his favor, Oswald tried to lure the Blot to his fortress on Mickeyjunk Mountain, where the repaired jug that had started the thinner diaster as it came to be known was there, waiting to be used as a prison for the tyrannical monster that threatened the stability and safety of all citizens of Oswald’s domain.
However, the Blot merely laughed and flew away, knowing it was a trap by the same man who had once been a close aide and confident to the king of Wasteland. However, Oswald had decided to self-sacrifice to save his home and his family.
The Blot, being a very tactful and intelligent entity, would go on to try and kill Oswald to break the morale and any semblance of rebellion against him and his forces, but Ortensia, Oswald’s wife, had pushed him out of the way, and she suffered the consequences in order to keep him from being lost.
However, Oswald was still capable enough to open the bottle, and like a genie from those stories of old, the blot was absorbed and trapped in it, unable to escape, only for it to rage and try to escape, which caused multiple small cracks that led to the collapse of the alliance between the Doctor and the Blot.
While the citizens of Wasteland celebrated their victory over the forces of the evil invaders, Oswald was now alone, left with his wife, now encased in a stone-like state, as if she were slumbering, waiting for her prince to awaken her.
To keep her safe, he placed her in a chamber he designed after a fairy tale that was the inspiration for the castle. As for him, he decided to exile himself to the fortress he built upon the image of the mouse he had dreaded for so long to keep the blot at bay and to avoid anyone from seeing him fall into a deep depression.
Soon enough, the Blot would use its power to manifest its power through its army alongside a powerful doppleganger that would be mistaken for the real thing.
While Oswald coped with his loss, the fighting continued on for years until the Blot, with the assistance of the doctor, brought the same person to whomthe mess had caused it to occur.
Mickey Mouse was brought into the Cartoon Wateland, and Oswald, while spying atop the mountain, spotted the Blot and decided to take a look into the castle, as whatever was going on was big enough to catch the eyes and attention of many different people. Thus, Oswald snuck through the ultidord and secret passages of his former palace to discover the secret of what was happening, only to come face to face with the one he had been dreading for many a year.
