The Return

Summary:

Izuku was back in Japan, and he’s ready to conquer U.A High School! It was about time he showed the world who he was and prove all the people who looked down on him that he could become a hero!

Notes:

I was gonna have this be a one shot in the series but decided to split it up into at least 2 parts, maybe more. I am going to probably go back and fortg between writing Izuku with his Cult as well as him at U.A.

Chapter Text

A flash of bright red light filled an empty alley, disappearing just as quickly as it appeared. A young man stepped out of the darkness.

He looked around, and noted not a person in sight. The black snake on top of his head hissed. It’s red eyes rapidly blinking as they adjusted to the change in light.

The young man nodded to himself as he started to leisurely walk down the road. His cloven hooves echoing against the pavement.

It had been about two years since Izuku had last been there. The sights were both familiar yet foreign. It was nostalgic.

“Where are we going, Lamb?” The snake hissed curiously.

“I am heading to U.A High School. If my calculations are correct then today is the day of the entrance exams.” Izuku easily answered the snake.

“Isn’t that the hero school you’ve mentioned? Don’t tell me you decided to leave your cult to become a hero of all things.”  The lamb laughed.

“Definitely not. Well, I do want to be a hero, but I will never leave my Cult. Think of it as a vacation, I suppose. I do intend on spreading the word of myself and my Cult, try to get more followers and stuff. And I heard that there’s something going on in the underworld.  I thought it was worth checking out.” Izuku explained his thoughts and plans to the Red Crown disguised as a serpent.

“Hmmm. I see.” The Red Crown was rather impartial, all it cared about was having a worthy wielder. And Izuku was certainly worthy. The little lamb had accomplished far more than any of the previous wielders of The Red Crown, even managing to free themselves. Even as Izuku himself changed and adapted to his new circumstances, he never once let go of his dream to save people. He truly was The Hero of the New Faith.

Izuku and The Red Crown continued their journey to U.A High School, slinking through the shadows. As they snuck their way through Japan, they passed the time by talking about Izuku’s time before his Cult. Of how he dreamed of being a hero, of how he was always bullied and looked down on by others. And how he wanted to prove them all wrong, to show them that even though he may look weak he is anything but. He now had more power then they could ever dream of, and he wasn’t afraid to use it.

Finally they arrived at their destination. Izuku couldn’t help the nostalgic smile gracing his face. So many years of dreaming of this place and now he was finally here. And he couldn’t be more happy.

As Izuku stepped out of the shadows and into the light, The Red Crown transformed from a snake back into its crown form, eye blinking as it adjusted to the light.

Izuku patted down his fleece, wiping any dust or dirt off. He decided to wear his original fleece, the red color and chiming bell providing him comfort. He confidently walked towards the doors of the school, smirking as everyone around him turned and stared. He was gonna show these losers who’s boss. And maybe get some new followers while he was at it.

The written exam was easy, Izuku had no problem with it. He was always rather intelligent. He noticed some hidden questions in the test, and plenty of trick questions awell. Overall it was no problem for him. He finished first out of hundreds of students, pride filling his eyes as he sat back in his chair until the exam time was over.

While he waited, Izuku started planning with The Red Crown. ‘I hope to get into the hero course, and if I somehow manage to fail then I’ll go into general education. I can always win the sports festival and prove I’m worthy for the hero course that way. I’m sure I’ll get into the hero course though. I do have plenty of experience in battle haha. And I shouldn’t have a problem taking out robots. But it’s always good to have a back up plan, just in case. I’d rather be prepared than end up having to go home empty handed.’

Eventually the time for the written exam was up, and Izuku had to make his way to the physical exam. He ignored all the whispers and stares of the other participants, it wasn’t anything new to him. He was used to it by now, all of the followers of The Old Faith would stare daggers at the lamb. If looks could kill Izuku would be long dead by now. And Izuku would’ve killed plenty himself.

“Are you ready, Little Lamb?”

‘Ready as I’ll ever be.’
