Summary
This story was inspired by the story Bound by Chaos by Hayweerc and dnd/other fantasy concepts.
Every creature has chaos energy within their body, they needed it to survive. Chaos energy is meant to fuel the body, providing abilities that are meant to help and aid all creatures. However, everyone has different levels of chaos energy; too much chaos energy can manifest into something more bloodthirsty, and people who seek this power have found ways to steal chaos energy for themselves from other people.
Shadow is a lone bounty hunter. He travels around completing bounties to collect gold rings to help support his sick sister and, hopefully, one day earn enough to afford a good doctor. He has a deep hatred for those who steal other chaos energy for their own gain and takes any opportunity to take those creatures down.
Shadow's peaceful travels by himself are quickly ruined by a determined blue hedgehog who just wouldn't seem to leave his side. They both had similar goals; what would be the harm in working together?
