"What situation?"

Oh for the love of... That bastard knew exactly what he was talking about!

"We need to talk."

This may not have been the best way to open the discussion. Geralt looked at him like a deer caught in the headlight. But they seriously needed to address the situation they found themself in. Namely the big elephant in the room.

"Fine," Geralt pressed out between his teeth and Jaskier knew it's going to be like trying to pull these. Great. He sighted, already exhausted and they hadn't even started.

"So, Geralt, we have been living together for a while and I really, really tried to give you hints about this situation."

"What situation?"

Oh for the love of... That bastard knew exactly what he was talking about!

"Oh, don't you dare insist you don't know what I'm talking about. Even your skull is not so thick.

I'm just sick of living like this! Every time I try to breech the topic you became all sullen and refuse to talk to me.

I give you all the space and time you need to accept the reality of it and yet you never do! I just don't want to tip-toe around you forever when it's affecting our relationship to each other so much!"

Geralt nodded, looking like he swallowed a bitter lemon.

"... Do you want to move out?"

What? How could Geralt even come up with this? It would be a cold day in hell before Geralt would be rid of him especially now that Jaskier knew without a single doubt left that Geralt felt the same way about him. (The moment where the witcher ruined his favorite shoes with so many flowers - looking all mortified - lived rent-free in Jaskier's head ever since.)

"What? Where did you get that from? What? No! I'm not moving out. All I'm saying is that I also talked with Eskel and he knows whats going on here- "

"Eskel doesn't know shit," Geralt hissed at him. Jaskier pinched his brow.

"Er- fine, okay leaving Eskel out of this conversation- so, Geralt, I do know you and I know what you want even if you never told me in so many words-"

"And you are telling me now, that its stupid and I shouldn't want this."

"No! Of course not. It's not stupid to want things..."

"And yet you still try to tell me No."

Jaskier sighed again and wondered if he just should smack Geralt or kiss him instead again- just something so they didn't have to keep this conversation going. But Jaskier didn't want to put it off any longer. If it meant dealing with a witcher behaving like a toddler, well... Jaskier could be patient.

"Oh, dear heart - I know how rarely you let yourself want things for yourself. And all I want is for you to be happy. Geralt you are my dear friend above all else. I talked to both your brothers and Yennfer too and they are all on my side in this. I'd give you the world if I could- "

"Why are we having this conversation? You don't want to tip toe around me any longer, but you don't want to move out and then you go and talk to everyone behind my back- And now you say it's okay to want something. Just what are you trying to say. Speak plainly, Jaskier." Geralt looked at him with a guarded expression, a bit pained like waiting for a heavy blow.

And Jaskier was finally fed up with Geralt's woe-is-me spiel and snapped at him.

"We are not getting a horse!"

Geralt looked even more sullen.
