Jack took a sip of his coffee, enjoying the quiet moment without his annoying siblings before he was interrupted by a knock on the door. Knowing it was Rayane, he chuckled to himself, fully aware that Rayane always had his way of showing up unannounced.
„I‘m coming!“ He told his visitor, setting his coffee down on the kitchen counter before heading to the door.
When he opened the door Rayane was waiting there and immediately he was met with a beaming smile across his face. He looked particularly dashing today with his neatly ironed shirt. A rare sight considering Rayane‘s usual aversion to ironing stuff. But Jack didn’t care. He fell in love with him before knowing if his shirt was ironed or not.
It was only when Rayane entered and held his hands in front of him, revealing what he had hidden behind his back before. A small bouquet of flowers in his hands. A simple yet thoughtful gesture that brought a smile to Jack’s face while he looked at the four red tulips and then at Rayane‘s charming smile that made him laugh about that cheeky little thing.
„Happy anniversary, Jack!“ Rayane grinned and placed a kiss on his cheek before he handed him the small bouquet of red flowers.
„You’re crazy. We agreed no gifts,“ Jack teased, though he couldn’t help but feel touched by the gesture.
„Well, technically this is no gift. It’s a nice gesture,” Rayane replied playfully.
“You know what I mean. Now I have nothing in return,“ Jack quipped, feeling a pang of guilt in his chest.
Rayane followed him a few steps inside before he wrapped his hands around Jack‘s waist and closed the distance between them.
„I could think of something,“ Rayane whispered into his ear and as soon as the words left his lips he started to feel his breath moving down his neck.
Jack closed his eyes and immediately his breathing began to race. His body suddenly felt hot and his head felt light.
„-but.. I have another surprise for you. So this-,“ Rayane was waving between the two of them. „This needs to wait!“ His eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Curious, Jack raised an eyebrow. „What kind of surprise?“
Rayane flashed him a mischievous grin before taking his hand.
„Do you trust me?“ Rayane asked.
„Of course I do, but I fear you might do something stupid,“ Jack laughed.
„Close your eyes!“ Rayane instructed and Jack did what he was told before he felt a small piece of clothing around his eyes.
„Did you blindfold me?“ Jack asked. Rayane definitely thought this through.
„Yep. So it feels like the day we met,“ Rayane said proudly while leading him out of the apartment.
„What did you plan? Will you finally throw me down the Grand Pavois cliff?“ Jack giggled, but his heart was racing despite what Rayane had planned for him.
Rayane laughed out loud. „You‘ll see!“
Jack followed Rayane's lead, feeling a sense of adventure building within him. They walked hand in hand, the cool breeze of the early afternoon refreshing against their skin. As they reached a certain point, Rayane stopped.
„Here we are,“ he said while taking off the small scarf that covered his eyes before, Jack's eyes widened in surprise at the sight before him.
Rayane brought him to the place where their old school had once been. But instead of the schoolground and the rubble there was now grass. The city decided to honor the school, and everyone who got hurt, by building a small park on it.
On a small blanket spreaded in the middle of small monuments out on the grass, there were sandwiches and cans of their favorite drinks. Rayane had thoughtfully prepared a picnic for them, completed with all their favorite snacks. Jack couldn't help but smile at the gesture, feeling touched by Rayane's thoughtfulness.
"Wow, Rayane, this is amazing," he grinned, his heart swelling with love for his boyfriend.
Rayane grinned proudly, his eyes shining with happiness.
"I wanted to do something special for our anniversary," he explained, pulling Jack down to sit beside him on the blanket.
„This is where we first met. It’s different, but somehow it’s where it all began,“ he whispered while Jack placed a kiss on his cheek.
„Thank you!“ Jack grinned cheerfully.
Jack couldn't shake the feeling of warmth and contentment that washed over him. With Rayane by his side, every moment felt like a celebration of their love. And as they leaned in to share a sweet kiss under the shade of some flowers and bushes, Jack knew that this anniversary would be one to remember.
After their picnic they spent laying down and talking with each other, they headed back to the apartment.
As Rayane closed the front door, Jack didn’t waste any time and hesitantly kissed his boyfriend. In between the kisses he muttered „Now it’s my turn to surprise you!“
All this months Rayane still managed to get under his skin, to make his heart flutter and his body react to the smallest kind of touch.
„You are alone, right?“ Rayane asked. His voice raspy and deep.
„Yes, they shouldn’t be back until tonight,“ Jack managed to breathe out between the heavy pumps of his chest.
„Good“, was all he heard before both of them stumbled backwards against the kitchen counter.
Jack grabbed the cold counter before he noticed the flowers that Rayane had placed for him there before they left.
He didn’t care about anything. Not even the sound of shatter of glass or the sound of his deep moans that filled the air.
His hands already on Rayane‘s waist. Trying to gain just a little bit of control to get rid of the pieces of clothing that separated him from the soft skin he urgently needed to feel. To make him know that he was thankful for every inch of skin Rayane owned. For every piece of hair he could wrap around his fingers.
With Rayane he felt confident. He felt like nothing else mattered in this world. Just two boys being in love. Just two boys living their lives.
With the newly formed control he placed his hands on his back, to slowly take off his shirt while he managed to guide him where he thought the couch must be.
He threw the shirt on the ground and immediately began to move forward with him. When they landed on the couch for a moment he was on top of Rayane but he had other plans and with a smooth move he moved them around so he could be on top again.
Jack didn’t care. All he cared about was that his fingers slowly brushed his back, leaving goosebumps all over his body before they got rid of his own shirt, throwing it somewhere into the apartment.
Rayane placed small kisses on his neck and Jack found himself sliding his hands down to his pants to open his belt, forgetting everything else around them. Only when a muffled voice filled the room, his head popped up, drawing Jack‘s attention into the direction the voice came from.
„You two are disgusting. Couldn’t you just go into your room?“ The voice directed to both of them.
It was Jordan. Jack opened his eyes and for a moment he needed to blink a few times before he could outline the shape of Jordan covering his eyes.
„I just wanted to grab something,“ he announced and disappeared into his room for a few seconds.
Jack felt Rayane‘s giggles against his cheek and immediately he felt the relief in his chest, being reminded on how confident not only he got within their relationship. Only a few months ago Rayane was afraid to even kiss him in front of his family and here they were. Making out in the middle of their living room, Getting interrupted by someone, but he didn’t care.
„Could you maybe switch your make out session into your room, so no one needs to cut out their eyes after seeing you two having sex in the living room,“ Jordan laughed.
„Shut up Jordan“-„go away“ Rayane and Jack shouted simultaneously at him before Rayane threw a pillow in the direction in which Jordan laughingly disappeared through the door.
With Jordan gone, Jack breathed out the laugh he needed to hold in the whole time. His nose touching Rayane’s.
„We should go into my room“, Jack announced.
„No, he is gone now. Isn’t he?“ Rayane giggled and slowly brushed his nose over his, making him feel comfortable in any way.
Jack didn’t needed to be told twice. With the smile of being caught and his cheeks probably being a deep tainted red he continued to place his hands to get rid of their pants.
