Years of collecting badges as a scout have prepared Amber for many things. The end of the world as she knows it is not one of them. She promised to keep her friends safe, no matter the cost, but somehow every single word that leaves her mouth feels like a lie. Still, the one promise she never breaks is to keep trying, because if she lets herself falter now, Razor and Bennett will pay the price. She will get them out even if it's the last thing she does.
