Work Text:

Jirou had been separated from her partner.

She was surprised she was even here in the first place. In the exam, she and Koda barely finished in time. But now she was separated, alone, by herself, in the dark forest. Well, in retrospect, the forest wasn’t that dark.

It was on fire.

Why did this happen to her? She supposed it could be worse. Sticking her earphones into the ground, she could hear multiple heartbeats and foot-falls unlike her classmates scattered around the forest. Though, none of them seemed to be near her-

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-” A man in spandex flew out of a bush, screaming. “That fish is goin’ CRAZY! The plans’ gone to crap! ” His white eyeholes were wide with either fear or excitement.

Jirou slowly backed away, hoping the man didn’t notice her. She, however, was not so fortunate. His head turned over to look at her.

“It’s a child. Woah.” The strange man whipped out a piece of paper from an invisible pocket. “You’re not on any lists. Does that mean kill or leave alone?” He shook his head, as if trying to get off a bug.

“..uh.. Who’re- Who’re you?” Jirou tried to put all the courage in her voice. It still cracked in the middle of her sentence. The fact that she had K-Pop pajamas on did not help.

None of your business, woman! Twice, professional villain. Pleasure to meet you? ” He stuck out his hand. When she reached to shake it, he flipped her off and brought it back to himself.

“Twice? Like- Like the K-Pop band?” Jirou gasped, her brain-to-mouth-filter failing. She face-palmed herself.

“What?” Twice said, crouching down. Not so he and Jirou were eye-level, but so he was much lower.

“Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuhm….It’s- It’s a band? And- they make.. Music. K-Pop music.” She fumbled her phone out of her pocket. This was insane. But… Twice wasn’t attacking her. He actually seemed… interested?

Not regular villain behavior. It seemed insane. But.. maybe she could stall long enough for a hero to find them.

She selected a song, and let it play."

“I LOVE THIS SONG! Can we go back to “The Feels?” I love that song. ”

Jirou checked the time on her phone. An hour. She had been sitting with a villain, listening to K-Pop for an hour.

And she was having some serious fun.

The man’s voice(s) harmonized well with hers. He was a fast learner, too. After only listening to a song once, he could sing the chorus.

Boy, I, boy, I, boy, I know I know you get the feels. Yea oy, I, boy, I, boy, I know-” Their voices sang together. He had broken off a stick and was singing into it. Jirou platonically adored this man.

“You have stolen my heart, oh, yeah, oh, yeah. Never let it go-oh-oh, No, never let it go-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh. Lightning straight to my heart, oh, yeah, oh, yeah. I got all the feels for sure. Yeah, I got all the feels for ya!”

Notes:

Twice and Jirou are now best friends because Jirou convinced Twice off the path of Villainy with the power of K-Pop.
