Chapter Text

Starts inside Vernie's Farmhouse, at the dining room, Kamini being the only person there, waiting for her boyfriend to come back home. Suddenly, a loud creak came from the dining room enterance, revealing to be Vernie who has opened the door.

"My head," Vernie said to himself, rubbing his face with his left hoove, feeling tired after working all day. Kamini is preparing her usual evening tea. "What a day."

"Hi, Vernie, another hard day at work?," Kamini finished pouring her tea, before looking at her boyfriend, Vernie.

"Yeah...," Vernie replies back to his girlfriend, Kamini, still looking tired before stretching his back. "Had to deal with one of my workers for being-." Kamini interrupts her boyfriend by drinking tea, not listening any words he was saying, giving him an annoyed glare towards her.

"What?" Kamini asked to her boyfriend, as she stops drinking her tea after getting glared at by him.

"Kamini, can you please listen to me without drinking your tea?" Vernie's feeling annoyed by his girlfriend's ignorance.

"Okay, okay," Kamini replies back to Vernie, setting her tea cup on the table. "I'll listen."

"As I was saying, 4 of my workers were goofing off around the lobby when they were supposed to operate the machinery equipment," Vernie explains his side of the story about what has happened to him earlier, while Kamini looks at him trying her best to not get bored from hearing his long stories. "And you'll never guess what happened next, I went inside the machinery room, and saw graffiti paint everywhere." Kamini starts laughing to herself, thinking about graffiti paint, causing Vernie to stop talking his stories.

"Har jagah bhittichitr kala!" Kamini continues laughing while speaking in Hindi. Vernie, who has had enough of her rude behavior, slams both of his hooves on the table.

"Don't you care about me at all?!" Vernie yelled at Kamini, leaving her surprised, just by looking at his unibrow narrowing down, knowing he's being serious.

"Yeah, yeah, sure." Kamini replies back to Vernie sarcastically, looking at her tea cup before she takes a sip of it. Vernie sighs angrily before walking out of the dining room.

"Unbeliveable." Vernie said to himself, having enough patience to deal with his girlfriend's negative additude. Kamini now realizes that her boyfriend had just left the dining room.

Sets inside Vernie's bedroom, Kamini opens the door, showing an upset Vernie laying straight up on his bed.

"Hey, can we talk?" Kamini walks towards her upset boyfriend, still laying straight up on the mattress.

"Oh, so now you want us to start a conversation, without even apologizing to me?" Vernie argues back at his girlfriend.

"Hey, I'm trying my best having to deal with your boring work stories!," "Plus they're lame and uninteresting!" Kamini snapped in a brutally honest manner.

"Maybe try learning about operating mechanical equipments every now and then!" Vernie snapped back at Kamini.

"I'm really sorry for ignoring you multiple times during dinner," Kamini starts apologizing to Vernie-even though she's not into apologizing to others, except her boyfriend. "Is there anything I can make it to you?"

"How about giving me a piece of chocolate, please?" Vernie starts talking back to Kamini after hearing her apology.

"Sure." Kamini digs through the treat drawer.

"White chocolate!" Vernie gazed upon a piece of white chocolate bar. "Thank you so much!"

"Don't mention it." Kamini says.

"My head!" Vernie said to himself while rubbing his forehead with his left hoove, grunting in pain.

"Everything okay, Vernie?" Kamini asked Vernie distantly, as he doesn't respond back to her.

"Is this about your workers again?" Kamini continues asking Vernie-he continues staying silent.

"Oh, the time you were seasick while water-skiing with my family, and vomited on my Dad's magazines." Kamini was trying to figure out why Vernie's stressed, but that wasn't it.

"I'd like to be alone now, Sweetie." Vernie sighed.

"Alright, V," Kamini kisses Vernie on his forehead. "Let me know when you wanna talk." She quietly leaves his bedroom.
