Summary
König, suddenly and urgently called home, is then tasked with not only the daunting duty of repairing the dilapidated church in his hometown but to also set aside his career and become a priest, per his mother's request. Yet when he arrives, superstition surrounds the building and everyone whispers about how the sacred building is somehow haunted.
The soldier is quick to dismiss them all as nothing but rumors, superstitions, and other bedtime stories to make children behave. That is until he can’t explain the claw marks in the wood or the strange sounds filling the building's walls.
