“Mads?”

…

“Mads?”

…

“Bitch..” Helen muttered as she stepped into Madelines bedroom, pushing the snoring blonde aside slightly and climbing under the covers. Though a “beauty” as some may call her, in the day, at night Madeline Ashton slept like a pig. It drove Helen mad, watching the woman shes loathed for years sleep beside her, but it was the closest thing she was going to get to a “relationship” in her current state. She grunted and pulled the blanket over herself, earning a whining “Whattttttt?” from Madeline.

“Oh shut up.” Helen muttered as Madeline tried to tug the blanket back.

The blonde peeled back her sleeping mask, revealing cold dead eyes and eye bags that seemed to drag across her entire face underneath thick peeling spray paint. “What do you want, Hel?” The nickname spoken with a bite, as if she were spitting phlegm from her throat.

“I was feeling lonely.” The redhead rolled her eyes.

“Yeah, well go be lonely somewhere else..” Madeline snatched the blanket back, lying down with a huff.

“Oh don’t be an ass! You know what I mean!” Helen grunted.

“Go snuggle with the damn pillows for all I care, I need my beauty sleep!”

“It’s only called beauty sleep if someone beautiful is doing it!”

“Oh go sleep on the couch, former fatso..” Madeline muttered, pulling her sleep mask over her eyes as Helen cuddled into her companions side, ignoring the smell of rotting flesh as she’d learned to do.

Madeline reluctantly wrapped an arm around the redhead, muttering to herself about how this was all Helens fault, acting as if she weren’t tenderly stroking the other woman’s hair.

“Goodnight Mads.” She muttered.

She received no reply only a grunt, oh how she wanted to wrap her hands around that bitches broken neck, but it’d be no use. How do you kill the woman you want dead, if shes already dead?

Helen opted for simply holding Madeline as tight as possible, in hopes that maybe she’d pop in her sleep.

“Goodnight Hel..” The blonde grumbled.

Why did she have to spend her afterlife with goddamn Madeline Ashton?
