If one was to tell Harry that the person he absolutely hated for taking Cho out for the Yule Ball or in other words getting—at the time—the girl of his dreams. But to be fair, he was 14 and the world constantly feels like the world is ending. In defense of his past self, he has stopped the world ending many times before that point to be fair.
But now everythings is different.
After getting through his last years of schooling and Voldemort's last years of being alive and going into the working force, trying desperately to be a normal adult now but it never seemed to be able to get it right.
Then Cedric came and they were able to become friends having more in common then they thought.
"Good morning!" A sing-song voice calls and Harry smiles to himself as he looks up from where he was writing a report for the Aurors to help them with their investigation at the dining room table and sees Cedric coming into the kitchen/dining area.
Though they don't live together it sometimes feels like they do in moments like this when one comes over to the other's house. Harry has long stopped startlingly when someone who has a key to his place when he doesn't hear them or was not expecting them to come so early/late. Something he thought he would never get the chance to get over.
Seeing Cedric smile, eyes crinkling as he places a cup of tea and muffin in front of Harry as he sits down himself.
"Good morning to you too. You should be lucky I have not eaten yet." Harry huffs out in amusement as Cedirc rolls his eyes, which was something that would have made little 4th year Harry jaw drop to the floor. Idea mixed with Cedrics reaction made Harry laugh. In turn Cedric smiled at him all puffy and goofy like.
"As if it would have gone to waste if you had. You could have just saved it. Besides, someone needs to make sure you are still eating." Cedric replied, drinking his own cup which more than likely had coffee in it. Being open about things like that was a development for Harry he would never have expected. Though there are a lot of things he didn't do, Harry realized as he and Cedric continued to talk and laugh until they both had to go off to work.
Well not work since they were both in training that takes 4-6 years to complete. Neither would probably be able to tell you where they are at because sometimes it was easier to forget how much they had left to go. Even if it is small it just makes the impatience worse than if it had been longer.
"We must part now." Cedirc said in that over dramatic tone they both liked to know whenever they felt funny and dramatic.
"We don't?" Harry said, raising an eyebrow making Cedric burst out laughing.
"Sadly we truly do." Cedric agrees with a solemn tone that does not match his face as he leans down and gives a chaste kiss to Harry. "I will see you when The Head Healer finally lets me out?"
"Only if Kingsley lets me leave without going to another crime scene to study with the other detective. You might beat me." With that being said and one last kiss Cedric apparatus out of Harry's place to work.
With a wide smile on his face, Harry makes sure he has everything that he needs. Briefly noting that he is wearing Cedrics shirt from when he stayed over at Harrys. After the last look he decides that he is ready for the day.
Little 4th year Harry would have a lot to be shocked about. Harry thinks with a laugh at the thought and himself before going off.
