Chapter Text
The area seemed to be a patch of green grass surrounded by lava. What was this? Was Book back in another lava challenge? No, it couldn’t be. The grass would be yellow.
Then suddenly, she heard it.
The sounds of Ice Cube, Book’s now ex-girlfriend and past team-member Taco screaming, a shower of lava about to crash upon the two of them. Book didn’t have much time to act, she began to sprint at them, to attempt to knock them out of the way and have the lava take her out instead, since she’d deserved it for all the pain she’s caused the two of them. But, she felt slower than usual. She didn’t have much stamina.
And then, the lava crashed down on top of Ice Cube and Taco, they were immediately disintegrated and destroyed. “Noo!!” Book screamed out, falling to her hands and knees. She had failed to prove herself, now she was going to be hated by everyone for not saving the people she was controlling.
She suddenly peaks up, to see the lava surrounding her, she doesn't care anymore.. There was nothing left for her, she gave herself up and let the lava consume her.
It all went black.
…
Until Book screamed and sat up in a heartbeat, grabbing her own body, she was perfectly fine.
“Book!? What’s wrong??” A voice could be heard from behind the door to her room.
Book stood up, she was a mess, but that didn’t matter at all. She stepped towards the door, gripping the knob and opening it. She was happy to not see Pillow, but instead, one of her team members. “Oh, it’s… Nothing, Price Tag.” she says in an awkward tone of voice, faking a smile on her face. She didn’t want to drag anybody else into her mess. Nobody else deserves what she deserves.
“Are.. you sure? Why did you scream? You know you can talk to me, right?” Price Tag said softly, they reached out to hold Book’s hand in a way of comfort, before Book smacked it away.
“I said it’s nothing!” Book shouts at Price Tag before stepping back and shutting the door in their face, sprinting over and jumping onto her bed. She didn’t want to risk anything. She would keep her emotions bottled up, for her friends' sakes.
