Chapter Text
a small coffee machine filled the entire room with it's bitter scent
as rain dropped harshly on the windows and roof
had it been sunny, sun would not have managed to filter through the tiny windows
the laundry machine broke again
it was just too cheap to work
that was fine
there was a laundromat somewhere in this old building
a quarter a load, wasn't it?
not that he'd know
he never bothered going
clothes could just be dumped in the sink in some soapy water and they'd be fine
no use risking running into someone
he'd have to spend ages fixing his appearance just to go out
he craved approval like a rabid dog
if one indigo strand was in an ugly place
his entire form would be ugly and judged
the fridge creaked as it was opened
empty
the store would bleed his eyes with its glaring lights and hospital white floors
but it was better than starving
a plant died in the corner
nothing ever lived in here
it was too dark, too cold, and he forgot to care for things
nothing ever lived in here
and that included its tenant.
